Bro !!! This just blew my damn mind. When I tell you my car is wired exactly, I repeat EXACTLY like this homie ! What a dang coincidence man! My toggle switch powers some ultra blue led lights that are under all my seats. Also , my radio isn’t stock. Running a Kenwood ! And my grounding point is the big bolt at the top of the rear seats where the metal latch is ! I’m running 2 SKAR SDR 15s , on a DB Drive 2500w amp , in a custom built ported box tuned at 33 hz ……… & they GET DOWN !!! 🔊🔊
Please ppl take note of what not to do when installing. I've done this professionally for a long time. This is one of the worst I've ever seen. This only looks and sounds good to ppl who dont know any better. Dude please stop! This is horrible. You'll fry that car!!
Hey so, the actual wire run wasn't terrible, not good or great but not horrible. The part where you need to stop listening to him comes up when he opens the drawer to show a switch. If that switch is left on his sub is still running, he should have just patched through one of 12v system fuses with key on in the trunk
Why did you need the in line converter. Did you have problems with it your amp going into protect or shutting off when you put it in gear and behind driving
For those watching who don't know or have never done an aftermarket sub and amplifier installation, you should take this as a good tutorial on how NOT to run your lines. Where to even begin with this hackjob. Please for the love of god, if you dont know what youre doing, just save a little money and have a professional do it. Although not a very difficult job, if you dont take your time and do it right, its going to end up looking like hell, possibly wired incorrectly or installed in a bad spot where the potential for your system to arc out and cause alot of damage. Please take my advice and if youre uncomfortable doing any of this, have someone do it for you. Trying to rush a project like this or not having the correct knowledge will just end up causing you alot of problems and most certainly will end up just costing you extra money when something goes wrong. If youre going to do a job, you might as well do it the right way and make it look good. This is half assing it at its best.
How did you get wires from your radio to the trunk did you go under the driver side feet area and back through the side panel like you did with the power cable for the battery?
The thing about that though is there can be distortion it’s better to run through a fire wall I have same wiring as you but I’m trying to switch the power cable to my firewall
Alejandro Marin you wanna connect your rf/remote wire to the stripped white/blue wire behind the stereo. Connect em, tape it with electric tape. And you should be good.
There was a small round rubber piece I took out I taped the wires to a coat hanger and feed it through til I reached the small hole the plastic trim needs to come off
Theres an easy bolt to get to right behind the driver side rear door after u pull the latch to open back seat to the trunk. Just have to lift up the trunk lining a little and it's right down there. Pretty easy to find
FYI. Never wrong a wire threw the door. This dude has a death wish. FYI. Before you do another video. Go to harbor freight and buy you some drill bits and pyramid or step bits. Dude. You know if you get hit on that side of the car. You will have a power surge that can blow up your car battery with me it will be on fire. Smdh. This video is not correct
Most common beginner BIG mistake is running a live hot wire between the doors where it will pierce thru the rubber protection and cause a fire. Definitely not a good diy video and I would not recommend noone watching this to do as he did unless you want to watch your car burn...
Your work is really sloppy you need to take this video down your car is dirty you do not know what you’re doing not professional at all please take this video down it’s too funny LOL It looks like a hot ass mess booty LOL
I know it's not the best way but thats how I did you don't like things it's easy don't watch them and by the way it worked very well and never caught fire
