After months of debating which saddle I should go with (first time saddle using), it really all came down to how informative and thorough product demonstration. I watch tethrd just as much as I watch Latitude videos and I've made up my mine. Just ordered Latitude Method 2 saddle and kneel pads then for the platform and climbing sticks, I went with Tethrd. Can wait to get it going. Thanks for the amazing videos, it really helps a first timer like me to fully grasp the saddle concept as I've used self climber for many years. Thanks again !!!
Great video Alex, just got my method 2 , up a tree this afternoon for the first time. Great quality rig,top notch! Also I wanted to mention this isn't just for kids, I'm 63 and it's easier than dealing with a cumbersome climber.
Just getting into saddle hunting and bought the XL platform thinking it would be better for my size 13 boots. Once I began putting my pack together, I realized that the smaller platform is definitely a much better choice. The knee into the tree for stability for the shot is key. I feel much more stable and secure, shooting from a saddle than I ever felt in my Lone Wolf climber. Thanks for the video! 👍🏼
Awesome video.. I also have no clue what the purpose of a huge saddle platform is. I use the original Predator as well and have never once thought I wanted more space. Some platforms coming out recently are barely smaller than a small mobile treestand which completely defeats the purpose in my mind. It's a good things there are so many options though! Everyone has a preference.
Thank you! And we agree, options are a good thing because everyone has different preferences. Ultimately we're all trying to be more efficient in the woods and whatever gear works best for each individual is the way to go!
So my question would be with 3 sticks and an aider, how far are you up in the tree? Trying to figure out how many sticks i really need. Also on the new carbon sticks, can you stack more that three together? I see them stacked in threes but not sure if they stack beyond that or have multiple sets of three tied on backpack? Thanks!
They're actually some Nike boots. They wear kind of like a running shoe. I abused the hell out of them for three years now and they've actually held up great.
@@latitudeoutdoors interesting. I’ll have to check them out. I hunt the Ozark Mountains and need some ankle support for side hilling but hate the stiffness of most “mountain” boots.
Hey James, here's a link to the aider. Just be careful with it because its super easy to get kick out with it. www.moosejaw.com/product/petzl-gradistep-5-step-etrier_10018636?ad_id=GooglePlusBox&GooglePlusBox&PLA&Petzl&cm_mmc=PLA-_-Google-_-MJ-Shopping-NonPromo-Brand-Generic|MJ-Shopping-NonPromo-Brand-Generic-_-google|10854230599|105301112525|457298105884|pla-942739518920|c|9016829|176331&gclid=CjwKCAjwmK6IBhBqEiwAocMc8vUZxY5CbGMb8z0XsCfx2vUIOWcXiorqkSr54t9Pr__B4wMM7ezPQBoCKzIQAvD_BwE
