Hi dave hope your both well. Exactly mine is now paying me back as a full gas bottle is now £9 for 10kg. As opposed to £45 which is what I was paying.

Probably a good idea to get yourself a proper spanner, to avoid rounding off the hex on the fitting.

We have had a safe fill for about three years now. Best investment. I reckon I might fit a diesel heater as a backup and plumb it into the vent pipes the same as gadget John has done. Good info though. If you go abroad you can get a kit off Amazon that has all the attachments for the different LPG pumps on the continent All the best and take care 💙❤️👍

Hi John, yes iv seen the attachments, I'm toying with a diesel heater or thinking of one but might just get a generator not sure yet buddy.

You're supposed to switch the valve off first before releasing the trigger. Or else the gas is going to escape.

Hi Ray your right under normal use and I should of turned it off. Although safe fill bottles don't allow gas to escape unless you attach a pipe. It's more safe than people think.

I have one of these. Have had issues with it overfilling. The company blamed the pumps at the garage 🙄. The automatic cut off didn't work and I had some scary moments with my gas stove! 😳 It seems okay now though and they are definitely a better option than swapping cylinders for £35 or whatever it is. 😏

Great money saving tip, we don't have self serve LP, they have to inspect the old bottle before they refill and the bottled have an expiration date, so I started using the LP bottle exchange, most gas stations have one and there always open , I wish we had self serve LP too. All the Best

Hi buddy hope your well. Yes these bottles have been specifically devoloped for refilling yourself due to the price of exchanges on bottles. It's now a third of the price. They pay for themselves after about 4 refills. It was £35 it's now £9 so a heck of a saving.

Hi kevan I'm not sure mate one thing if you can smell gas there has to be a leak buddy. I'd get it pressure tested.

Love my safefill bottles i have 2x 10kg bottles best thing I ever did the guns are a pain my garage has different type than you used thats horrible I keep complaining hopefully they will fit a new one lol

Not had a problem. They all know what a safefil bottle is. I know shell are doing away with lpg. But up north there's plenty. There are apps to find lpg.

Hi Stephen, do you mean to buy the bottle or fill it? The nearest to buy it is extra gas in Eccles Manchester. If you rang they may meet you but to fill one I use pye motors garage but there's Morrisons have it. One you buy the bottle it's yours forever sell the van you take it with you. And filling it for £9 I can leave the heater on all day.

I didn't realise they were auto shut off, and they appear so light. I have two of the gaslow bottles with the auto changeover valve. I was wondering if the connector pipes from mine could be used to connect two of the safefill bottles together as mine when empty seem heavier than yours when full. the weight saving as well as the cost would be tremendous ?.

I did look into both systems buddy. And safe fill gas after a lot of research came out on top. There fibreglass see through there are so many benifits to safe fill. And there's apps for lpg and as you have seen £9 at the dearest garage for ten kg of gas.

Hiya pal do you get a whiff of gas when you unplug the hose from the bottle when you've finished filling it up or does it deal itsen straight away

Hi buddy. Yes there is some gas escape when you disconnect the hose but no more than the smell of petrol until you put the cap on.

Hi shaz hope your both well. There's maps online for lpg I do know she'll garages are taking them out in favour of more space for electric charging points but lpg is available all over the UK. If you get one it pays for itself after about 5 refills.

Hi hope your both well. Yes safe fill gas saves a fortune, and you take it with you when you sell the van or caravan. Also you can use it for the patio heater at home and the barbecue so it's great all round.

Hi, a lot of garages wouldn’t like you filling a free standing bottle gas safe or not. We have 2 8kg bottles and you are dead right about the fitment they just fit in the gas locker and like you have saved a fortune.

Cracking video Simon. Couple of questions if you can answer. Have you just bought the bottle outright and if so how much was it. Do you always go to the same filling station for your van, car and LPG Has anyone given you any grief filling the bottle out in the open - quite a few places won’t let you do that All the best mate Dave

Hi captain, I think it was £170 for the bottle and filled with gas. I use any garage but they do get to know you at all these local places after a while. I always ask first do you mind if I fill a safe fill bottle and they have all heard of them and not had a problem.

Hi buddy yes go for it with the video. There's no adapter you either have a safe fill bottle or you don't. My bottle was £176 in Manchester it's on a video. I made they won't let you fill anything else.

Hi buddy remember it's totally against the law. The fine is unlimited, there's no choice safe fill or go to a dealer and swop your bottle buddy. Please stay safe. And filling an ordinary bottle is so against the law mate.
