Glad you like it! I have a video about this on my main channel that you can watch😉. When I tried finding information about this, I almost couldn’t find anything.
Is the dowel you out in the middle of the ring just made from clay? I want to make a print of my current ring but don’t know what to use inside, I’ve been looking to see how to make a print of my signet ring without it being a big thick ring at the top and was super happy when I come across this video so thanks! And thanks for the help! I’m a beginner I just want to make s print of a ring that means a lot to me so I can wear a backup or make it from different materials and practice to make different things etc
I made it out of casting sand with the help of 3D printed tubes😉. I know, I was looking for a way to sand cast rings for weeks and months and finally found one video. And that is this methode. Just be sure to make the dowel as tight fitting as possible. It should barely fit the ring.
I asked so many jwellers but they refused they can't make a ring like this in silver ..they are ready to make in gold..how to get this ring cad from computer image to solid structure
Casting Sand😉. Yes, I’ve printed everything myself. So u need a ring, two tubes with the same diameter of the inside of the ring. One closed and one open. The closed one is for making an in print in the sand. And the open one is for the sand of the mold you make, so the mold is closed and should pour a nice ring😉. If you want, I can make a full video on my main channel to explain this a little bit better😅.
@@SJWCshorts yes that would be awesome! I have a few rings I've tried to cast but the rims are not straight so the the centre of the mold keeps moving 🤦🏽♀️
hello man, do you think that instead of the delft clay, we could use the Das moldable clay (the one the is like play doh) Do you think it would resist the heat?
@@cedricjones6713 that’s ok. I still use the most simple program to make 3D prints (the better ones I get from thingiverse). So basically I use thinkercad for making prints. Basic stuff like the tubes.. Save them and use ultimaker cura to convert it into a usable print file. And put the sd card in the printer. I learned basic stuff by watching loads of videos, and trying stuff out.. But those 2 programs are good for beginners: Thinkercad for making and ultimaker cura for converting the files.
