@@netzerx thanks to you for saying these beautiful words, you seem interested in our culture. I hope it will give immense benefits to you. I would like to give a little information also oil pulling doesn't just improve oral health, it also helps in detoxifying body. Oil pulling is ayurvedic practice, which called "gundusha" .Om namah SHIVAYE🙏
This is so amazing, I’ve been doing it for 3 weeks now and I have fresher breath, whiter teeth, and less plaque. It’s really no downfall to doing this. I love it.
Finally someone who shot excellent before/after pictures, same lighting conditions and the paper as white reference. I've been doing it for a week and can already feel the difference. Charming, btw. :)
Thanks for your video.I just started oil pulling. My mouth instantly felt cleaner.I noticed fresher breath the first week. And now a month and 2 weeks later my teeth seem to be whitening. Weekdays, I would swish for 15 minutes and on weekends I would do the full 20. My dentist even asked me if I’m using whitening strips! I’m excited to continue this routine.
I tried oil pulling years ago for health reasons, but I had trouble keeping it in my mouth because of that weird consistency that kept making it sit funny. But after seeing your results, I didn't even know oil pulling could whiten your teeth like that! So I'm going to try again!
I started oil pulling in March and I love it! I noticed my teeth looked whiter after a few days. 20 mins definitely isn't tough. It goes by super fast! I do it in the morning as I get ready so it flies by :)
i absolutely love oil pulling too! it makes my teeth so much whiter and i love knowing how good for me it is. i cant believe this is the first video of yours i've watched, as i've been following you on insta for so long now. you are just so pretty and cute! :)
This was the BEST video I have seen on this since I started researching it an hour ago. Just straight to the point, giving facts not trying to DRAG IT OUT FOR THE VIEWS and answered my questions that I was thinking. Thank you so MUCH, from Saigon, Vietnam.
I can vouch that Oil Pulling (with Coconut Oil) actually works and removed a painful cavity (decay) within 2 weeks! Nothing but a white hole left and I should probably go to the dentist now to have it filled. WIthout any drilling? If you need to STOP TOOTH PAIN FAST use twice or even three times a day for a few days. Keep in mouth 20 minutes then spit out. If you stick to it you'll soon start noticing your teeth getting bright white.
Here in India, oil pulling is often used as a natural remedy for mouth ulcers and sores. I've found that it makes mine disappear in just a couple of days! Never knew about the added whitening benefits though. Thanks Caitlin!
@@soulfulworld4209 I'm so sorry, I didn't see this. As the commenter below said, any brand will do. I use locally sourced cold pressed coconut oil. There is a press nearby so we use their services to extract oil from home grown coconuts.
using virgin coconut oil tastes so good, once I ran out and used refined coconut oil and it was NASTY because there was no flavor and it was just like... grease...ew. I love the Dr. Bronners coconut oil because they support farmers and their families, its $6 at grocery outlet, and tastes amazing
I've tried this before but got tired of swishing it in my mouth for 20 mintes and you helped me realize I don't have to swish it around constantly! I will try it again thanks!
My dentist told me recently I needed a root canal. (if any of you are told you need a root canal, please do your research before getting it, a lot of harmful effects to your body can come from it ). I started looking into oil pulling and did it myself. Already seeing the difference in pain. I honestly don't think I need a root canal. Will get a second opinion. Whiter teeth is a great extra benefit. One thing I didn't know , is NOT to spit in the sink, it solidifies, makes sense. Thanks Caitlin!
There's a book about problems caused by root canals Dr Westin price "Root canal coverup". I had 2 root canals myself They are no longer painful, but I agree with you.
I've tried oil pulling with sesame seed oil. it made me nauseous at first but with time and practice it all went away. i started for 10 minutes and worked my way up to 20-30 minutes. good luck great video
My routine: 1. Wake up 2. Brush 3. Oil pull 4. Shower (with oil in mouth) 5. Dress up. 6. Spit out. 7. Carry on with my day. If my shower is less than 20 mins, i go dress up. If 20 mins pass between 3 & 5, then i spit out oil before dressing up.
Perfect video👍 Informative without the annoying cheesy hiphop background music and dramatical extras lol plus good photos! Your teeth look great. So I think i will try this. Thanks!!
I really found it difficult to keep the oil 20 minutes in my mouth ! So I did it progressively…I started with 2 minutes (felt sooo long) then 5, then 7 then 10 and reached 15…I will reach the 20 minutes in a few days, for sure! I do it 4 days per week, alternating sesam oil and coconut oil. I love it !
You can try switch oil for 10 minutes in morning. Then at night, another 10mins. I suspect this is similar to swishing for 20mins continuously. But of course, that would mean your oil will deplete faster.
I drink liquid chlorophyll, put a spoonful of coconut oil in my mouth and hop into the shower in the mornings. That’s how I know it‘s time to end my shower 😄 then brush your teeth and off you go! And I strongly recommend flossing before brushing right before you sleep!
Just started recently. I switch between oil pulling and Xylitol pulling. Mouth's health has improved. Acidity in the mouth has also improved along with cleanliness since germs bind with fat.
It’s interesting seeing you actually chew the coconut oil lol. I actually let the bottle sit in a cup of warm water to turn them to liquid before doin them 😅
I just heat the stainless steel tablespoon slightly and the solid oil starts to melt instantly. That way I don’t have to keep reheating the bottle.. Day 1 doing this..
@@KA-ov6yl Hi I’m still doing it. So happens My dental appointment happened about 3 days after . They see some periodontal problems I’ll keep up the oil pulling I have faith it will work to improve the situation. By the way It’s easier to chew the oil lol so the bottle is at my bedside table. It’s the first thing I do in my morning routine. Have an awesome time
Do you have to continue oil pulling to maintain the white teeth or can you stop once you feel the teeth is pretty white? Will the teeth go back to its original colour if oil pulling isn't continued in future?
Feeling Happier and also Proud that Our Ancient INDIAN practice as Ayurveda techniques of Oil Pulling is just getting back the real importance atleast now ! Coconut Oil and Usage of Turmeric regalur can Whiten Teeth !
I just got into oil pulling today and wow what a difference, lol even though I should've watch this review first cause i kept on swishing like crazy and swallowing it by accident but my teeth look a bit more white I'm gonna make this part of my routine and see how far it goes
I used whitening strips for years and I’m pretty sure it stripped enamel because my teeth became PAINFULLY sensitive. I haven’t used them in years so I’m excited to try this!
Update Feb 28 So yeah, I think its working, progress is slow, but I see it. I will pay extra attention to the way I oil pull because I see that some parts of the teeth have whitened more than the other. But I'm sure that I need to keep doing this at least for a month just to be sure if it's reaaaaally working. Will come back with update later.
Hey sis I began pulling a week ago cause my teeth are so yellow and the dentist said it's from brushing too hard and losing enamel. She warned me against conventional whitening cause of my already sensitive teeth and tried to con me into some pricey crap. I went online and decided to do pulling. I've been doing it a week and holy heck I can see a huge difference. I began first three days at 15 minutes then I've gone to 20 minutes. Sis here's a tip I have animals and I need to every morning clean cages and prepare fresh food. What I do is put it in my mouth while I'm doing chores vacuum mopping and cleaning animals. 20 minutes goes by so quick when you're actively doing something. You don't have to do every day for results I think 3 times a week will still get you there. Try weekends and try it while you're cleaning hope this helps
+loving earth they won't instantly turn yellow overnight if that's what youre asking, you can just do it until they get white and then wait until they look more yellow - i just love how clean it makes my mouth feel so I plan to continue to do it x
Hey Caitlan, I can see why you have so many subs, that was an awesome video and answered ALL my questions about this. Some other videos were a lot more "general" and left me with questions like the following. (which I left in the comments on a couple of other oil pulling vids. As you can see YOUR vid SPECIFICALLY answered all three of my questions, so BIG THUMBS UP FROM ME! 1. Do you oil pull at any specific time of day? 2. Do you pull before or after brushing/flossing? 3. What happens AFTER you spit out the oil, do you rinse out the "residue" with water? (I'm thinking that oily taste/feel might be unpleasant for some?)
Wait you don’t have to continuously swish it 🤦🏼♀️ I’ve been trying it but can only get to like 5-7 minutes 10 is the longest I’ve gone I didn’t know that you don’t have to swish it the whole 20. I was wondering how people were doing it when my mouth got sore after a few mins
i started doing this about 2 months ago and my mouth feels very good! but i have done it for 10-15 minutes, not 20. and i would drink water before i oil pulled. is that ok?
+Sarah Fears I think it's best to do it for 20 but if 15 is all your comfortable with that is better than nothing! It would work a lot better if you didn't drink water before though - when you swallow, it would already be rinsing some of the toxins in your mouth down your throat x
Here in October 2022. Switched over to van man’s miracle tooth powder after doing some research. Been hearing about oil pulling and wanted to incorporate it. Thanks for the great vid. Gonna try it tonight.
I started oil pulling in the last few weeks however I do it in the evening as in the morning I do chewing on whole cloves so I made a choice. When doing oil its hours after done eating and no more before bed. I just stumbled across this post and wondered after seven years if your still oil pulling with great results.
Thank you for your video. I have tried oil pulling with a oil I got from grocery store called GuruNanda. It makes my gums and teeth feel amazing. I will continue to do it. Now I'm trying to work on methods to rid bad breath. I haven't always flossed which I know is a mistake. But I'm making my best effort to floss especially after eating chicken. Or something that gets into teeth spaces. The oil pulling and flossing work well together. I bought a concentrated mouthwash that I love you use use six drops into the tiny cup they provided. It tastes better then store mouthwash. So with these three things I'm on a mission for improved oral health.
@@mambawolf4792 pretty good!!! I did it for two weeks straight. I noticed abit of whitening and I like how my teeth feel after doing it. Currently, I’m not doing it daily, I do it about 2-3 times a week.
I'm trying this for the first time, I'm in my fifties. How are you smarter about this than me, when I'm old enough to be your grandfather! lol Anyway, thanks for the info. I do have tooth issues and I really hope this helps. Should have started long ago. 😢
Do you know any other way to naturally whiten teeth? Mine are a light yellow, and I tried this for 2 weeks, and I didn't see any difference :/ I did everything right. any suggestions?
You should try using more than just the oil if they're already a yellow color, like a whiting toothpaste and mouthwash. If you want to use the oil pulling alone, you would have to do the process for longer
The optimal health benefit concerning oil pulling will be this one with castor oil will by swallowing this afterwards. So you will have to take regularly early in the morning on an empty stomach 1 tablespoon (15 ml) castor oil in your mouth and mix this there with your saliva for 30 minutes before swallowing this one. While doing this you will not remark anything of the bad taste of castor oil for the receptors concerning castor oil are in the background of the mouth. By salivating castor oil for a sufficient time this one will lose its bad taste, its high viscosity and will no more irritate the mucosa of the stomach. In this manner not only the waste in your intestines will be pushed out but all the toxins deposed in your body (especially methylmercury!) via the liver too.
Thank you for sharing this info. I have wondered about this and what oil is traditionally used for oil pulling in India. And you have answered my question. I like the taste of Sesame oil and I have used it on occasion for cooking so I will use it for oil pulling. I have too much heat in my body too due to inflammation and bad health and I like what you said about Sesame oil and that it cools the body. So that's another reason for using Sesame oil over coconut oil. I am working on my health and reducing inflammation. Thank you and many blessings to you.
Just learned about oil pulling and am starting it now. I love the smell and like how it feels after I spit it out. I use it on my face and arms too. Can’t wait to see my teeth get whiter.
grateful to your video dear... i rinse with salt water then brush i cannot prove but it remineralizes also when i noticed a small cavity filled in after regular use...
i don't have time in the morning but started 3-4 days ago. i just do it before going to bed and watch TV . but usually wait a good hour or 2 after i lat ate something. a dentist that did a video ont his , i asked her and she said you can indeed do it at that time. although they did suggest morning
It's the funniest thing because for some reason coconut oil in the stores I have for some reason stood out to me. It's very ironic that I should run into these videos about coconut oil. I have never before had any use for coconut oil but now I do.
i was considering doing oil pulling.. sounds great. i think you convinced me. i love watching your video's. there encouraging.. i already have coconut oil.. so, i'm going to do the 30 day challenge .. i like watching your video's in a marathon. i can keep up.
