A simple but yet effective tip: don’t worry about your iPhone battery. Make sure you don’t look often into the battery health settings and percentage left indicator on the top of the screen. Simply ignore those two. You will use your iPhone without stressing about the battery. A smartphone is made to use it on a daily basis so use it and do whatever you want to do on your iPhone and let the stress fade away.
That is true however some people "invest" in a phone that they hope to use as much as they possibly could in order to be cheaper for them in the long run. Balance is they key, imo bear in mind the battery charging habits and enjoy the phone.

Battery Health Tips 1- Say no to overnight charging, In my 6 months of usage I'm now with 147 charge cycles and still with 100% health. 2- Follow 30-90% rule never charge beyond 90 and never drain below 30. I travel a lot so I always do multiple short charges during my day in my car to maintain the %. 3- Heat is the villain, I don't play graphic intense games like pubg. Keep my phone cool all times. Even in my Car I put it near AC if I feel phone is getting heated up. 4- Don't DON'T usage third party chargers and specially fast chargers. They will ruin your battery. Personally I use 5V 1A standard apple brick. If I'm in a hurry then I use iPad 12W charger. 5- Use low power mode, as it helps in long run. Also it keeps iPhone cooler by reducing load on CPU. 6- Don't use wireless chargers, it produces a lot of internal heat. 7- Use iPad 12w iPad charger for medium fast charge. That's it. -Shiv

Great video, as always! My XS Max is at 98% after >1 year of daily use. I've been trying to stay in the 20-80% zone (battery wise). Seems like it made a difference

Everyone stressing about their iPhone battery health 1) don’t use low power mode, yes it keeps your battery health up but let’s say it will make your phone lazy and operate more slow. 2) don’t make ur iPhone drop below 35-40% you can charge it till any number above 85% 3) don’t charge overnight 4) don’t use wacky charger only official chargers from apple 5) buy the 25 watts charger to make the phoen charge, it’s $25 CAd, not too expensive, the 5 watts one is useless and heats up easily 6) don’t use wireless chargers 7) protect from low and high temperatures 8) keep wifi calling on 9) turn off background app refresh for apps you don’t use 10) when asked to turn on location, only do only when using app There you go these 10 tips will save your money and life By doing this your iPhone lasts upto 4 years I been using my 7+ since 2016 and it’s battery health is 96% haha
Nick Ackerman cheers Nick, i used to work for a very large battery company ( exide ) and learnt a lot . My last car battery lasting 19 years . Lithium batteries are a little different but keeping them around 70% is the best way to keep them healthy . Great videos Nick 👍👍👍
Agreed, I only charged my iPhone 8+ up to 80-90% everyday from around 60-70%. My 8+ still shows 100% battery health after 21 months of use. I got the iPhone 11 Pro Max last week and plan on doing the same with it. On the rare occasion when I knew I was going to be using my phone more that day I would charge it to the high 90% range.

@@MrKrueger88 That is one of the reasons why I went with the Max over the 11 Pro was battery life. My cellular provided called and offered an early upgrade and reduced the cost of my plan so I took them up on the offer. When they shipped the phone though it didn't get delivered when it was supposed as they claimed a severe weather delay and it most likely sat in the courier truck overnight, so I told them I didn't want it and negotiated to pick up a new on from their store instead. It was around -15C that night so I didn't want a band new phone that was most likely frozen. I was also going to get the 64GB but changed to the 256 in case I decided to sell it after the contract is up. An iPhone 4 that lasts a whole day is impressive! It sure helps when you know how to take care of the battery properly. When I had the Google Pixel 1 before my 8+ I'd leave it charging all night and the battery life wasn't great on it so I read up on how to properly maintain a lithium battery.

I got 47%. It doesn’t even last half an hour when connected to internet. my phone is completely a computer i never forget to plug on my charger when i’m surfing internet.
I say just don’t look at your battery health, and stop stressing. Cell phones are used all day long now to live our lives. They are essential for most jobs, and tasks nowadays. They are computers in our pockets. They are not just something you have and keep in case your house phone no longer works anymore. Phones are meant to be used. Battery replacements get cheaper and less expensive each year that passes and as your phone ages. Not a big deal to eventually get it replaced when the time comes. Do not obsess over things you have absolutely no control over. ✌🏽 peace, love and happiness to all.
my 5 month old iphone 11 is on 96% and honestly when it dropped to 99 i was in HYSTERICS but to be honest now i think about it the battery is going to degrade anyway and there is not really no stopping it but if all else fails i’ll just get a new one, besides the point of my phone, this is great advice. thank you.
It’s not the charger, Got the same issue here on my iPhone 11. Got it since release and my battery went down from 100% to 97% since the iOS 13.2 or 13.3 release.. i hope Apple is going to solve this problem ASAP.
I only use my iphone 11 pro max when im outside the house. But When im at home, i use my s9 plus instead of iphone if i want to watch on youtube or play games etcc

Something weird happened recently. I upgraded from the X to an 11 and my X was on 80% battery health. I erased my phone and the battery health went back up to 100. Mind you the phone is two years old.
@@hayamelshamy7746 2 years isn't really "old" considering some people are still using the iPhone 6 and 7 and so on. Honestly, the iPhone X is still a beast compared to the newer models and some people are getting new ones nowadays.

I have a iPhone 6s at 92% baatery health 2016. Here's what i do: 1: I charge my phone from 0 to 65-75% 2: I don't use my phone at all when charging. 3: I charge my phone in the morning. 4: Since i'm a light user, my phone does not overheat much often. My iPhone 6s lasts 2-3 days with a screen on time of roughly 2.5 hours.
I’ve upgraded to new iphone and try to keep my phone’s battery life between 40%-80%. Once i overuse it and it dropped to 32% and 1 time overnight charging. Yet it still drop to 99% after 1 month! 🤬
after one month!!??? i’ve had the 12 pro for a month and a half and it’s still at 100%. i charge over night(wirelessly charge) and usually let my phone get to 20%.
I bought my iphone 11 when it was released and until this date is still at 100% capacity. How do i do it? I just kept the phone at a room temperature and charge it when its 50% or more. Thats the only thing i did 👌🏻. Hopefully this can help some people 😊
And imagine how android devices’ battery degrades since almost all of them come with a more than 20 w fast charger, and at every corner fast and wireless charging is advertised...and if you do this in two years or even less time your battery is basically done...however most people just dont care about having the percentage dropped to zero when using.I have told it to my colleagues but they just did not care and after 5-8 months they started complaining about daily charges...it is what it is. And people are bashing Apple not adding a fast charger. Nick you complained about this in several of your videos...and now the smaller brick is sufficient. I can imagine however that there are situations when fastcharging is needed...but not all the time. Getting back to android devices coming with only fast charging bricks if you buy them you have very little chance to preserve your battery capacity unless you buy a smaller brick but after so many complaining videos who does that?! But fast charging tech has advanced to thr state that the heat will only created on the charging brick not on the phone so no matter 20w , 30w or 40w the heat will only be generated on the charger, for apple despite the low power charging but the longer time it taked to charge the iphone and the fact that apple uses traditional charging method means heat is normally generated out through the phone itself which created beat to the battery
If you see comparisons,iphone's fast charger heats up the device more than supervooc.If you want to know how supervooc works,watch techaltars video(they split the battery into two for supervooc).I use fast charger all the time, the amount of degradation is not much compared to a normal charger.If you can afford a $1000 phone can't you afford a battery replacement after 2 years?
aravind r I agree on that if you spend a 1000 usd you should be able to afford a simple battery replacement every 2 years or even every year thats a no brainer. I am not familiar whether there are apps for android devices that correctly shows battery degradation. Degradation itself overtime is unavoidable plus solid Lithium ion batteries are coming and those supposed to last 3 to 5 times longer due to their structure. I charge my phone by using the Ipad’s normal charger and it handles that fine. I was told that apart from the wattage the voltage is also relevant as well as amper and regarding Ipad charger the voltage is the same 5V as for the smaller brick. I do not know whether Apple uses different batteries than for example Huawei or Samsung, but regarding fast charging those manufacturers are approaching slowly 50w chargers...I suppose android based phones battery degradation is around the same as ios devices but the funny thing is that in non of those videos battery degradation is mentioned as many times as in Apple devices’ videos. It would suggests that on those devices degradation is non-existing or very little...which we know is not true. Probably since android devices’ batteries have bigger capacity degradation has lower impact on performance?!
Classic delusional iPhone fan, bro it will damage more battery if you are charging it over night like most iPhones users do than charging it for one hour, fast charging on Android is designed to charge with certain current at certain level of battery to not occur any overheating, and it stops at 90%-100% to prevent overcharging so pls dont talk about something that you dont know.
I got my iPhone 8 Plus used on Christmas Eve at it’s at 85% capacity. I am a little paranoid about it but it’s actually holding up really well so far. I have anxiety about getting the battery replaced. I don’t plan on getting another phone for years to come. I just upgraded from the first gen SE that had 77% percent capacity. Had it for almost 3 years & when I got it it was 88%.

most of the times if not always I charge my phone from (1-10%) to 100%. I bought the XS Max in April 2019 and that's about a year now of charging it using this cycle and the battery health has only dropped to 98% which I believe is fair. However, looking at my personal experience and comparing to the way some of my friends charge their phones by frequently charging it from (20-30% to ±90% most of them had around 93-96% which makes me believe that charging your phone this way is a myth that extends the lifespan of the battery.
I actually think it's much better for apple to show us the battery health so we will have to be aware. Because if they'll lie you'll just say their product is bad.
I really don't think all these really work. When I had my Xsmax, I used it for more than 5 months and i still had 100% battery health. I followed all these basic things except charging over night. Charging overnight does not really damage your battery so far as I know and I've read. But when i switched to pro max my battery health is now 96% after 6 months of usage. I use more of my Xsmax than how i use my pro max now. There is something special about the Xsmax trust me. Apple needs to explain
