How Ive always saved money. 1. Never bought anything on credit. Cash only. 2. Have saved 25% of my paycheck every month since the age of 21. I'm 55 now. 3. Living in a house that we bought cash, saved money to do so. 4. Buy the clothes I only need. They can cost more but it's classic and good quality. 5. Never go shopping without a grocery list. 6,. No need of a big flashy car. 7. No landlines phone. 8. Do yoga and run. No gym card. 9. Eat fruits instead of candy. Drink water instead of sodas. 10. Live your life without comparing to others.
I'm sixty eight and have never had a car payment. Paid cash for every vehicle I've ever had. People have four, five, six hundred dollar car payments. I also have zero balance on my one credit card. And I own my condo. Living within my means.

i usually put like $100 aside from every paycheck just incase i run out of money i have at least that 100 to use but i have the mind set that the money i put aside doesnt exist
im old fashione use real money/coins all this after paying useless home bills first i spend $100 in about 2 weeks on going out for coffee/movies buying fast junk food windowing shoping i go to a opp shop buy myself used clothing/shoes i use
@@annamariapiotrowicz511 if its still a bit issue with not being able to save money then that coffee can be made at home too. its also what i do, i bought this one coffee machine that is good and has a spinner thing for the milk to make cappuccinos. never hurts to also treat your self either though
Moses Emmet oh yeah, you totally want to make sure you've eaten a meal before you go to the grocery store. And have a list on top of that as well. Also, write that list when you're not hungry LOL. It's okay if you deviate a little here and there, but if you're not starving, those deviations will be minimal and also healthier choices.
I've learned that if I cook in advance when I'm not hungry and freeze or just refridgerate portions in smaller separate containers so that they are easy and convenient when I want a quick meal, I'm less likely to order a pizza or run out and buy a quick burger, fries & drink. So if I'm working anyhow near the kitchen area, I can have something on the stove cooking for later. This has saved me lots of money for the times when I'm hungry , not in the mood to cook and/or I don't have time to cook. Just recently, to my shock, I suddenly realized the total amount I spend eating out each month, just for convenience. And the rest of my budget was really tight, living from paycheck to paycheck. But now it's like I got a raise, just by making this one change.
Buy a $10 coffee maker and brew your own. Keurig (in my opinion is a waste of money and the pods make weak coffee). Starbucks doesn’t taste any better than ground coffee at the grocery store.

Check your automated payments to make sure you aren’t being charged fees. I recently found out I was being charged a $2 per month fee for one company to do automatic monthly payments. This bill has 3 separate accounts so that’s $2 x 3 = $6 per month x 12 months = $72 per year. I called and changed to annual payments in full and will save this $72. (I don’t mind paying in full each year, but if not I could have paid on their website each month or set up auto payments with my bank to avoid these fees.)
My son and I do monthly savings/financial goals. We post them on a white board in the kitchen and compete against each other. The accountability towards each other keeps us on track.
I started letting my bank card home + I removed my bank account from my phone. I spend lot of money on food outside and at work when I have a break, now I try to take food with me or just a few dollars that I think are enough for a small meal 😁... It's helping a lot
After injury by car accident , i decided to save a bit of my salary every month and writing it with the plan of every month for remembering. This idea was great and help me to save more money. (I'm not a native English speaker, therefore may be i can't explain with correctly sentences)
Some of the ways I save money is 1) Collect any lose change around the house. 2)Cut back on buying expensive cleaning products and go natural cleaning Stop buying the News paper every day and get your local news on line. Stop buying a new out fit every time you have to go out .Try your best to pick something you already have. In Belgium, there is a thing called: domicilliering process or method of payment!!! This is: when you're due to pay, the bank will automatically do it for you!!! You keep track of it!!!Sometimes, you are stunned by how much you pay CM coz it's trimisterly paying, and will cost you 30 to 100 euros per pay!!!Health insurance is expensive,and you're already dead before you even lived!!! Just make sure, you didn't pay your health insurance continouosly without thinking!!!That's a years 1,000.00 per year for my health insurances, and I don't even get hospitalized!!!This means: I pay for other people's billls!
It amazes me how many people fall for 'SALES'. Sales are not sales.. they are scams. Do you really think companies are doing you a favour by reducing prices.. it was their plan all along.
I shop online at Walmart now and use the pickup. This way I don’t wonder the store picking up stuff that suppose to be on sale. Staying out of the store does help.
😎🤑 The only method I use to save money is to sacrifice myself from daily spendings. For example; Instead of taxi, I walk my way to work.. Instead of buying snacks, I eat food..
A great video and it saddens me to see just how many people are living in debt and don't know where to start. I too have addressed this issue on my mini series that I have created.
My personal tips: Whenever you want something, ask yourself is this worth, think of what else you can buy with your saved money. Remember, each cent counts. Write a list of what you want in the future, what your goals are and how much money to get there, put it in your pocket and whenever you want (not need, want) something, look at it and remind yourself that you can't get anywhere spending that money. If you really want something, and you think its worth it, (not a 1 time use thing) get it! as long as it isn't half your savings or anything dramatic.
There are plenty of ways to save money. All we need to do is to start with it and be persistent and determine because if not, we cannot bring in more money and won’t accomplish our money goals.
