I just did the research and you are right! I had planned to put some ground cherries in that area anyway, so I had to pull them, but it's good to know that they can regrow and survive temps down to 20C.

Ah purslane! I just realized that it was edible but haven't brought myself to taste it yet. That's a great idea!
