@Ginno Ricci harav pronounced "vav" properly, that is to say - "wow" (like in arabic). Perhaps you can ask old sepharadim/mizrahim (but most certainly - temanim) how do they pronounce their vavs. The consonantal "v" sound should only be created by soft bet.
