@ Mel V. Fact: native Levantine Arabic speakers (Especially Palestinians and Syrians) will sometimes use Hatta حتى as a shortened form ttaa تا Now there's also tannak تنك Hatta innak خلينا ناخد لايفت نسافر عالاسبيطار (المستشفى 🏥)تنا حننشاف من حدا Palestinian🇵🇸:Khaleena na'khod leeft e_nsaafer 3al- is isbiTaar (il mustashfaa) tanna Ha- ninshaaf min Hada Let's take a Lyft ( riding service that's almost like a 🚕 🚖 taxi) to go to the hospital so that we'll be seen by someone. إستنو شوي تا (حتى) خالكو(أخ جنب الأم) موريس يجي و يسوقكو عالمدرسة Palestinian 🇵🇸: Istannoo shwayy ttaa khaalkoo Mawrees yiji wii isoo'koo 3al-madraseh Wait a bit till your uncle (on mother's side) Maurice comes and drives 🚗 you to school Syrian🇸🇾: طولو بلكن ياولادي ،ستنو تا إمكن تيجي تحط إيدا(ايدها) معكن في البقلات Tawloo balkun ya ewlaadi , stanoo ttaa imkun tiji e_tHott eedaa ma3kun fi il- ba'alaat Be patient kids , wait ✋ till your mother comes to give you a hand with the groceries Syrian🇵🇸 : نحنا سهرانين طول الصبح نزبط غرفة الجلوس تا الضهر قبل الضيوف يمرقو و يزورو لعنا NiHna sahraneen Tull iS-SuboH nizbiT ghurfet ij-jluss ttaa iD-Duhr 'abl iD-Dyoof yimru'oo wii izuroo la-inna We're staying up all morning 🌄 fixing up the living room till noon before the guests stop by and visit our place
Thank you, Manar. In a Palestinian textbook I come across "ta" as an abbreviation of Hatta in the sense of "in order to". That book uses transliteration, not sure if it's written تى, e.g. قول تى نشوف. 1. Is this correct? 2. Is it used in Syria or anywhere other than Palestine?
Hi Manar. Love your content! I was not able to find the verb نوّص in any of my reference materials. Is the root نوّص just as it appears in this video? Thanks!
@ تعلم اللغة العربية العامية مع منار 🇸🇾🌹🫂🕊 🙋سؤال إلك يا المعلمة منار ، أنا عشرة ع عشرة حمد الله و أنا متمني إنك بخير كمان : ممكن تستخدمي أحيانا الاسم الفاعل : منتظر كتبادل للزمن الماضي؟ " انتظرت " يعني مسلا : منتظرك من الظهر حتى المسا
you literally pronounce h and 7 the same it seems from our point of view. take this from me, manar, and question if it is right: when you say jjjjjjjjjjjjj (like in africa), you say hmmmmm (humming) + shshshshshsh (sheen) at the same time. if you stop saying the shshsh, you are left with the hummmmmmmm... to say h, you just hummmm and say "ha" like in english. when you say 7 (hh), which is the one you actually pronounce both time, you DO NOT HUMM, but you just exhale the air out. the humming is an interesting aspect i speak egyptian dialect (4 years already) and long time fo97a and gulf dialect. shami is weird to me : (
