@@ShokLeague Ay brother, I got a question. I recently found your videos, watched 3-4 and I see you do this pretty often. You get the early push, but instead of going for a third wave shove like most people would have you do, you often don't care and go for a second wave shove. I'm only a mid diamond player but to my understanding, this seems like a mistake? By shoving second wave you allow the opponent to get level 3 before you and have prio on cannon wave. Also, a third wave shove will allow you to quickly recall, if you feel like doing so. I'm sure you're aware of all of this, so my question to you is: Is it simply a "Meh, I don't care for the small advantage" thing or is it a "I honestly believe shoving second wave is better" thing? Looking to learn and get better as always, no hate intended.
@@itirix1 Crashing 3rd wave is definitely better for individual advantage. Normally if I'm vs the combo of a ganking JG + gank setup mid (Sylas Viego, LeBlanc reksai, Liss Xin etc) I go for 2 wave instead because it means you'll never die to a cheese 3 camp mid or anything before getting your ward down and having the wave bounce back out into the middle
Hey man, I absolutely love how you're giving us insights as you play. It's helping a lot personally. I wonder if you could maybe try doing a kassadin mid video? For me personally it's hard to know when to go aggressive on him and how to properly farm (since almost every opponent can bully you early game). Either way, keep up the great content, I've watched almost all vids of this series so far!
Hi Shok, could you please do a matchup versus tristana as a mage? (ie: scaling mage + losing match up) Would you just never be in that position in your drafting phase? I'm very curious on how you are choosing your champions every game
Definitely could be in that position if I'm blinding an AD mid, there are some mid matchups for trist which are really horrible though (e.g. hwei) that I'd probably just dodge
I beg of you Mr. Shok... I would love to see some Kassadin gameplay from my goat. I'm also lost with itemization this patch, it feels like malignance weakens your late game power substantially but roa removes any early-mid game pressure.
The three champs you mentioned (Viktor, Asol, Azir) are the better early game scalers. Compared to other scaling Champs that are useless early like Vlad, Kassadin, Kayle they would probably get outscaled right?
You would think that, but I honestly don't think they have much of if any scaling edge of viktor asol azir. That's why those champs are stronger, some champs just have a higher power level unfortunately :/
With mages you always need cryptbloom and dcap either 2-3 or 3-4 slots and azir items besides those are usually nashors and lyandri so it doesn't change much for him specifically, at least if u wanna do dmg that is. I think Blackfire is a replacement for Ludens on the mages that you builded Ludens if u have high uptime for dmg on people since it has no cd
hey shok love the content, always super educational as always!! does making adc content have something planned in the future? i dont know any other youtuber thats this educational WHILST playing and would be super cool!
Hey again! Got another question for you, I guess it's kinda about sidelaning? So, easiest way to ask this is with an example, I don't remember who I was playing but I was behind. My botlane was ahead and took their turret and proceeded to head mid (which I know is fairly common) unfortunately though that then sent me bot in a 2v1 where I was very much outmatched (iirc I think it was outranged pretty heavily and so even farming under turret was rough). Was this the right call for my teammates or would it have been better for me to stay mid for a while longer until their botlane rotated?
Great video, thank you :) You mention Azir, Aurelion Sol and Viktor in this video as similar scaling picks - where do you place Vladimir in comparison? Vladimir is the champion I have played the most, but I stopped playing him to learn other midlaners because unlike precisely what you talk about in this video Vladimir feels like he has a horrible laning phase in many matchups so you lose all pressure and agency over the game. Now I try playing Asol, Syndra, Viktor instead (and Azir before he was nerfed recently). Thoughts?
Vlad is quite similar tbh except is laning phase is a bit weaker, but in terms of playstyle it's a lot of the same concepts. Vlad is definitely more of a counterpick champion and if you can get him into a hard winning lane it should feel pretty good.
would this be a similar playstyle to syndra then. i dont play asol or viktor or azir so i am wondering if it would apply to syndra. i think it would right??
hey shok, can you upload some zoe gameplay videos? Wonder how you would play her into less favourable matchups for her/with a worse team, can't seem to solo carry with her, even though I always get crazy kda scores on her.
Call for your jungler to help you break the freeze, if you can't do this then it's probably just you made a big mistake previously that you will have to fix for future
