I knew I could do it myself! I plan on buying a couch and loveseat this week. And the saleslady told me with the protection and delivery it's 100 a piece. I am very frugal. :)

I have a ikea sectional in beige color which tends to get dirty real fast. It has washable removable covers but I didn't realize while buying that in order to remove them I have to dissemble the entire furniture. The Scotch Gard might save my life.

Stumbled on this vid as I need a new couch with my 20 million dogs 😂 Our current one got ripped apart by puppies and our pipes burst and soaked it too so new lounge time. I love reading the comment section but rarely comment myself. I want to say that I am so impressed by your honestly and repentance over your misspeaking in this video. I've been blown away by your comments- how you've taken responsibility and respectfully answered people's concerns. Very impressive! Perfect video we just got a sectional couch same color and fabric we have a almost 2 year old and would like to protect this investment. 1question how often do u have to apply? I’m sure it says on the can but I don’t have one in front of me waiting for the weekend to do this.

Great vid! How long does it take to dry? And if doing multiple coats, should you wait for each coat to dry before applying the next one?

Great video but I would suggest wearing a respirator whenever using any type of aerosol chemicals.

You could also mention the importance of natural ventilation and possible face mask during application. At the end of the day it's a chemical application.

Hi it's 17:26 UK 13th of December 2020 3/1 comment 101 and dislike 127, please if you are planning to do this make sure the room is well ventilated and if you are spraying anything bigger than a pair of shoes or 1 chair say, then please uses a filtration mask. I have just gone a rug , dining set 4 sofas and 7 chairs with 2 pairs of shoes and even with the filter mask I still felt dizzy at the end. I also whore Gloves and goggles. OK we live and learn so no hard feeling just remember if you learned something on your birthday you'll be older and wiser. Well coming up we have Christmas, I hope you all see presents under the tree and celebrate that the presence of Jesus Christ is the root of Christmas. First of all, as a landlord, I find the "renter" comment unfortunate. Secondly, as a business owner who does fabric protection, I can attest that Scotchguard is a terrible product. It and many like it, are polymers that are bad for the environment and for humans. Also, 98% of these polymers and flourocarbons on the market simply "coat" the fabric, similar to silicone, and wear-off rapidly. Most require reapplication after 1-3 years or after just one professional cleaning. My company applies an environmentally safe penetrator, not coater, that is permanent. You apply it once and forget about it. So the statement that the $2000 professional application is the same as a store bought brand, is completely false and misguided. Ask your local jobber about permanent protection. There aren't many options on the market, but they exist. They tend to be a bit more expensive, $250-$300 depending on size of article, but well worth it.
