Not too bad. I've been saving all of my copper for over a year just to see if it was worth only going once a year. So couple of days ago I took 9 5 gallon buckets of bare bright and got almost $2500. It was a lot better than i thought it would be
My yard will take it as an electric motor but you have to clean it up a bit I find that it's better to sell it as shred this has been a very enjoyable and informative video thank you for sharing this with us six stars brother
Great little video my friend! I've never seen the inner workings of a disposal before...and it's a shame those windings weren't copper...that would have made a nice increase in your profit!
Thank you my friend! Yeah it’s always a slight let down when it’s aluminum but the otherside, when it’s copper it’s very exciting. Have a great weekend and thank you for your support.
I’ve scrapped loads of those and I have only ever found 1 that was copper. Must’ve been lucky hahaha. Good video as always James and can’t wait for next weeks and god bless 🙏🏻
@@lljairsoft1201 oh wow, you’re the first I’ve heard from that found one that was copper. Good to know it’s possible. Thank you brother and have a great weekend.
You increased it's value by %33 or there abouts. As I melt all aluminium motors I absolutely love them. Awesome episode brother stay safe regards from England
My scrap yard in Lawton Oklahoma, the aluminum motors go as aluminum breakage. If I remove the aluminum, it is clean aluminum. Great video. Have a blessed day.
Never have found one of them before never scraped one as well that sucks that it’s aluminum buddy! It all adds up the way I see it buddy! I feel like you’re a scrapping teacher with your pointing stick you use buddy! You increased a little but I would done the same thing my self love tearing stuff apart awesome video my friend!
@@ScrapMan69 heck yeah buddy, it sure does add up and as you know, a lot of fun. That’s a stereo antenna I use as pointer stick. Thank you my friend, I appreciate it.
So interesting every time I watch one of your videos it just so happens the item that you just posted I came across just the day before myself and it's sitting there waiting for me to take it apart
@@AlanPerez-pq1ro shred is just a category the scrapyard calls all metal that has plastic or other garbage on it. Like fridges, washers, anything like that.
@@stuartsmyth3686 I do and I can do that. I do have a video showing how to remove silver contacts from what they’re mounted on. Thank you for watching.
@scrapitall200 Yea, I've seen that video. It's great! It would be cool to see a video of your collection and get your input on what you plan to do with them. Same with palladium. I feel for the average scrapper, we deal with mostly our copper, brass, and lots of tin shred, so for myself, I can feel unsure about collecting those other types of metals.
@@scrapitall200 see I scrap full time that’s my job so I’m after what’s making me more money and my yard told me that any copper brass or wires from tin pile I can pull stuff out and take home so we both make money it’s his way of thanking me for everything I do for him
Producing aluminum from bauxite ore is much more expensive than from recycled aluminum. Every year the amount of recycled aluminum is growing and the refining processes are improved. If supply becomes greater than demand, prices come down.
Sometimes they’ll coat it in copper, other times it’s just a coating of shellac and I think that’s why it has that gold-ish color to it. Thank you for watching.
@@scrapitall200 thanks for the response. It sure does make it confusing for us NEW scrappers. 😂 I like your videos you do it. Excellent job keep up the good work hello for Idaho.
Those are the dumbest kitchen appliance and they eat electricity and they always get clogged. When we ask what they put in it, they always say nothing. Then we pull out two spoons , a dish rag , 6 lbs of pasta and the neighbors dog. You should put a black light on that thing and check for blood. You might solve a crime.
@@scrapitall200 thats actually a true story. Got a call for clogged disposer, got there, asked what went in she said nothing . We found out she had dumped a huge bowl of pasta into the disposer, and it clogged the drain over a span of 8 feet. i got one five gallon bucket half full of pasta out of that line. It probably weighed more than 6 lbs. They ALWAYS say NOTHING !!
