Sometimes those expansion chamber things are copper, and sometimes they have a flat piece of copper or steel with a bunch of holes in it, like a screen. I love your videos, somewhere you are helping a poor family be able to pay more of their bills. Don't be discouraged by the haters, the sad thing is people would rather hate then love, they would rather steal then share. Something I found works for me, instead of asking G-d for stuff, if I thank him for what I have I get more then I need. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and preventing all thatg copper, brass,aluminium and steel from going Into landfill.

That’s great to know about that sometimes being copper, thank you! I absolutely agree and I try to remind myself that just because they spread hate, doesn’t mean that I should. Sometimes these people need love the most. That’s so true and most my prayers are just thanking God for who He is and all the blessings I already have. Thank you for watching and for your comment.

How long did it take you? Not asking to be a pain but that needs to be worked into the equation as well. Time + Equipment Need/Cost are the 2 things I look at when debating should I do this. For sealed units I normally shy away more from the mess and issue of oil more so than anything. Was nice that yours was pretty much empty. Great knowledge though - thanks for sharing.

Some of those Capacitators can still hold an Electric charge for a week!!!!! One has to ground the capacitance to the compressor with a screwdriver. I told my Appliance Repair friend and he said it's true. I've never been electrocuted yet.

I cut them all open but i have a plasma cutter so i can open them pretty fast. i mentioned this on thubprints video that once i get them home, i keep them stored in an upright position and if i move them carry them that way too. this way when i do get around to opening them up all the oil is in the bottom and i can cut them all open standing up keeping my cutline above that knob that sticks out so i have no big mess with the oil. less than 30 seconds and they are open up.

@@scrapitall200 mine is a miller 625 but it isn't a cheap machine but i had it for many many years now and the price is up on it compared to what i paid. but in these times there are so many companies and they are some so cheap, i hate to recommend seeing i basicly just run that one old one and i grew up with miller welders with my dad's business having usually 10 of them at a time around here so i was influenced toward them and when i saw our vendor selling the plasma at the swap meet at a discounted price do to a design change that year and he recognized me gave me an additional discount on top of that. so it would be unfair for me to recommend one but the miller is nice but not cheap and still going strong but there might be other brands just as good now at a cheaper more affordable price for beginners. mine as paid for itself many times over.

I always wonder if there is not a way to gain extra from the big chunk of aluminium on both sides of the rotor.ali is about 5 times the price of prepared steel.whats your thoughts on best way to recover cutting off or smelting off I have not come across anyone yet recovering the ali.
@scrapitall200

The only way I know how is to put it inside a crucible and melt the aluminum out of the steel but there really isn’t much weight in aluminum, so I don’t think it’s worth it. Thank you for watching.
