STEP 1: you will have to download a plug in for the QuickTime, I will put a link below to do so. Scroll down to “Download Installer” and you will see a installer called Black Hole. Put your information as requested.
Then, you will get an email with a download link, click on download option. You will see three option to choose from I will go with 16 channel option, it will download here and will click to open and install.
STEP 2:
Now search for “audio midi setup”
Now at the bottom you see a + sign click on it and select “Create Aggregate device” now before we move forward make sure to check in “Blackhole 16 channel”. Now if you want to record the audio as you work on either select “build-in microphone” or “external microphone” and if you don’t want to record your audio just select “Blackhole”
Now at the bottom + sign select “Create Multi-Output device” select “build-in output” and “Blackhole 16 channel”
Now under the tab change “Aggregate device” as “QuickTime input” and “output as “Screen recording audio” so that you remember for future use.
That’s all for Step 3 you can close the screen.
Step 3: Open system preferences
And you will see an option “sound” and click on it and click on output and change the last thing select “screen recording audio” as our output.
Open QuickTime player, click cancel go to file “new screen recording” now when you click on the record option now have a new option “QuickTime Input “I will go ahead and press record and let me play an audio on (play your video)
Let me stop the recording and here is the QuickTime recording, and check how well it did.
Step 4:
One last step go back to “Sound” and select “Build in speakers” as I don’t want to leave this option running. I will select it as and when needed.
