@@naturalnadinee I made the breakthrough, try Ethiopian butter you can make it by pouring half heavy whipping cream and half white vinegar into a bottle and shaking it until it hardens into butter or pour them into a blender and let it blend until butter forms, make sure you pour a little more white vinegar then the heaving whipping cream, the white vinegar keeps the butter from smelling after some hours, you can also add some essential oils if you want a refreshing scent

@obloom
@obloom Год назад
Great info Nadine! I wonder if you have tried using a deep conditioner with a low pH? We make a hair mask that is low pH for this very reason, so using ACV would not be necessary. As a Certified Cosmetic Formulator I can share that conditioners and leave-in conditioners are made to an optimal pH of 3.7 - 4.5 (max) so using ACV would not be necessary, as over time ACV can be way too acidic and weaken the hair further. I'd love your input on this! Thank you and keep up the amazing info! (love the video you did on "why black people do not have low porosity" and could not agree with your more! Big love 💝
@naturalnadinee
@naturalnadinee Год назад

@obloom
@obloom Год назад
@@naturalnadinee well, shampoo pH should never be too low (best at 5.5 or even 6) as it will touch the skin and if it's too low it can irritate the skin and also damage the delicate microbiome on the scalp. But conditioner and leave-ins yes! Hair itself loves a low pH 💝
@naturalnadinee
@naturalnadinee Год назад
@@obloom depends! Shampoos of lowers than 5.5 have their uses for example after dying/relaxers shampoos with low PH neutralise the alkaline effects && given that majority of drugstore shampoos PH range from 6-12) I think there’s so much room for improvement on that! I’ve struggled to find shampoos with a PH of 5.5 tbh xxx

Hi. Thanks for the video. So how would steaming be beneficial during deep conditioning with acv if it lifts the cuticle and acv helps to seal/close the cuticle? Wouldn't steaming your hair open back the cuticle that you're trying to close?
@naturalnadinee
@naturalnadinee Год назад
Yep, but steam only temporarily does this, once your hair returns to its normal temperature but in my opinion steam lifts the hair cuticle tooo much

@@naturalnadinee Thanks for replying, Nadine. I'm wondering if I should steam with the DC for 15min then spray the acv and cover with a shower cap for another 15min 🤔

The vinegar alters the deep conditioner 🧐
@LostaVision

I like to steam my hair on wash days. I steam for 5 min, after a clarifying shampoo and a moisturizing shampoo, to open up pores and cuticles. I then put deep conditioner on and steam for 10-20 min. I'd like to add the ACV on top of my deep consitioner and steam. Do you suggest this? Or should I steam with the deep conditioner, add the ACV afterwards, let the ACV penetrate for a while, then rinse? Or does it not matter either way? How should one go about incorporating the ACV on top of the deep conditioner when using a steamer on wash days?
@naturalnadinee
@naturalnadinee 6 месяцев назад
I don’t think that matters as much I use a heat cap when I deep condition so it’s the same concept I allow it all to work together xxx

I performed the same technique in me, my scales are closed but after drying my cuticles open, I don't know what to do anymore it's been 2 years since I can't close my cuticles anymore so my hair quickly becomes dry and my length is stagnating (previously I had long hair and low porosity due to the care I provided because I mix vinegar in my hair masks) mais actuelement ca fait 2 ans mes cheveux ne veulent pas se refermer ( I’m french sorry for my bad english)

I see a ton of comments from high porosity ladies. I just figured out that me and my daughter have protein sensitive low porosity hair. Protein overload can be fast and WILL cause breakage shedding and dry hair on both of us. Ugghhhh! We need sulfates in shampoo and a no protein moisturizing conditioner. I’ve corrected that and it was a game changer. Now I want to add more sealing after getting some moisture into the cuticle with heat during DC. will this work for low po / protein sensitive hair? Any suggestions will be helpful! Thanks!

I tried this, I wasn't able to leave everything on for very long because I had work but the first thing I noticed immediately getting out of the shower was that there was less frizz and more definition than usual! I was a bit afraid to wear my hair out straight from the shower like that (no LOC method, no additional products), but I also wanted to experiment. As my hair dried throughout the day, the curls formed beautifully and my hair felt super soft, mainly towards the ends, but that's on me; I have a tendency to focus on the middle and ends of my hair instead of my roots + I forgot to grab a shower cap so all in all my roots didn't get the full benefit of this treatment. User error. I will try to do better next time! Thank you for sharing this with us, you're a 💎.
