7 months in with my dealers license. Those Westlake buy fees are crazy, although if you have a good rep, they'll work with you a little bit depending on the situation. Definitely learning a lot and have so much more to learn. Love seeing your vids! Put me on the list please!

dealers dont add the buy fee to the advertised price of the car, thats a good way to get sued (i learned the hard way, cost me about $10k and i didnt even go to court). Instead, i would only sell the car if i make enough on the backend products (gap and warranty) to offset the bank fee. I would explain that to the customer and even show them the bank fee on the banks approval sheet. Most people understand that. Also, when you quote them payments go ahead and include the gap and warranty in the deal. Dont ask them if they want it, and then quote them a higher payment after those products are added in. You will have a much higher chance of selling the backend products that way

So when you hold back points say that 3.5% case, the bank actually gets 3.5% interest and cuts you a check of $600? If so do they have to approve it first? Is there a limit on how much I can hold back? I would think the higher interest rate the more risk of the customer defaulting on a loan.
