Definite added bonus is that when you smile, everything seem to be not that complex at all😊 we all are carving our own path and with information you and some other Canadian resellers share, we are bound to succeed. Interesting info especially beneficial to Canadian sellers (d/t exchange rate). FYI - Overstock bought Bed Bath & Beyond, but they changed their name to Bed Bath & Beyond! For US tax reporters/sellers - the IRS is now delaying (again) the instituting of the $600 sales reporting requirement until 2025. Take care.

Hello Tabs . I am eBay reseller in Canada, most my buyers are from US . I am so happy to found your channels . I opened a business account( Can and US dollars) on Wise selected location is Canada, here has couple questions, Q1-Do I need select person or business? Q2-How do you add the US dollars account on eBay payment? There is no Wise bank on the list. US proof of account details have routing number and wire routing number, doesn't have Institution number and transit number. I just started eBay last year and haven't received tax form from eBay, do you know what is the fax form name? Could you do one video talk about this has more details or step by step? thank you so much. Rhea

I only use my us account for posh. I run my ebay on the Canadian side. But use my crossboarder courier to get the packages to the us. I can’t remember which acct I chose I’m sorry.

CIBC let me setup a US Bank account with them that links to my bank app and they have a separate US division for the USD account. I had to set one up a couple years ago for re-selling some Ticketmaster US concert city tickets as they will not send money to anything other than a US bank account.

I concur, setting up CIBC US account was very easy, didn't even have to go to the branch. So far it works the way it is suppose to.

Yay. Thanks for sharing this info. When I move there I'm going to have to file taxes in both countries anyway as a dual citizen. US is the only country that makes you file based on citizenship not residency. I'll need a cross border tax specialist. Not sure I'll want to deal with this, glad it's working for you!

I don't understand this part... If I have to pay Stallion, does Poshmark give me money for shipping after the client accepts/receives the shipment? What happens to that money the buyer pays for shipping?

That’s for the usps label. But you are responsible to get your package to the states to a usps location. The cross board courier does that. So the buyer cover the label for the states and you cover the label to get it there.

This might be a dumb question but once ive made a sale on poshmark usa, and i want to ship the item, do i take the customers adress from the emailed shipping label and add it to the shipping info on the crossboarder shipping website?

Yes. If you are unsure how to do it all, call the courier support. Make sure you write what the item is and cost. There should be a field

I was really hoping that for the BETA on Promoted Closets you would share the by-pass of the US address for CVV matching on the credit card as US is the only Country you can select. "Making up" an address doesn't work as the address HAS to be tied into the credit card you're using (CVV). Please share if you're using an actual US credit card tied to a US address as WISE credit cards have our actual Canadian addresses and we cannot provide a US address. We can't even use Paypal as an option!! Just frustrated that this option is available and this is one I'm unable to get around, so that's why I'm looking for more clarity. Cheers (this was a great video and will help a lot of Canada sellers out that want to expand and take that next step).

I literally used my Canadian cc, used my address but changed the country to us, state to Montana and picked the numbers from my postal code and repeated them. It worked for me. It’s not always working for others. I do t have another work around.

So do you watch all your emails and log out and in to your specific closet via the app? Or do you keep another device logged in to your secondary? Or just check your US periodically via the app? I ask bc I have all Poshmark emails except my labels sent to a junk box I empty every few months. 😅 I depend on my app, so wondering what changes I’d have to make. Intriguing since I ship very small and lightweight. I’d just have to figure out my bottom line for Canada sales with the exchange rate, but love the idea of opening up to new buyers. Mercari is a lifeline some months so could be potential. I don’t even know how to shop in Canada. Haven’t shopped in a couple of years on the app to be honest. Have a credit I need to spend, though. But, just been selling. 😂 I’d also love to hear if anyone is selling to Canada from the US.

I have both passwords saved and quick ones on my phone and I log in and out. It is a pain in the butt, I do it 2-3 times a day. I have two separate emails. Both link to my phone and go to my all folder, I actually have 5 emails I use for other things. It has been worth the effort for me! There are a lot of similarities between Canada and us. Some differences.

Did you have to provide a phone number when you set up your US Poshmark account? I just got my first sale on Poshmark US and it’s asking me to verify my info. I have the stallion address. But when it came to providing a phone number, I tried using my husbands cell number (mine is already connected to my Canadian account) and that didn’t work. What did you do?

Do you use Posh Sidekick on both of your closets? Do you do their promoted listings on both of your closets? If you do, you likely get 21 credits for silent auctions per closet each week - do you run 3 silent auctions per day per closet? Or just one a day per closet? Thanks for the info!!!

Hello, yes for both closets. Yes I use promoted on both closets. I like to do my shows closer to the wknd or on the wknd. I don’t have a set schedule😂🤷🏻‍♀️

I still feel new, and I’m still using my other app daily during peek time and for little things sometimes like 4 months later, 😂 but maybe need to consider. But, also need to get on my laptop and see if the posh beta offer is still good. I missed it I guess during 4th quarter in my posh junk folder maybe and got a reminder from someone a couple of weeks ago, but slow time of year now.

You are a wealth of knowledge, as always! I'm planning on getting my US closet started in the new year but UPS ground is 4 days from my location to the nearest stallion express location and they only do pick up on weekdays. I'm nervous that I'll be cutting it close to the 7 day posh cutoff especially if I get Friday or Saturday orders that can't go out until the Monday. Have you encountered this issue?

Yes pickup is wk days only for me as well. I msg buyer when they are picked up and mark shipped. WHen Posh sends e the notification reminder to ship, I mark shipped not tracking. It is a fine line. The only way to know is to try... truthfully

Through stallion. It’s a front porch pickup, so you are required to have that available at your address.

Hi! Thank you for all the info. I’ve had my US Poshmark for a few weeks now and just made my first sale. I’ve been trying to navigate the WISE platform. Just a slight confusion - do I have to open two separate accounts (with different emails and passwords) OR the accounts within the platform (US and CAD) because they only let you have one account per email. Your clarification would be super helpful as I can’t find anything else on this. Also we can use Paypal to withdraw our funds but the conversion is not as good obviously. Anyways… can’t wait to hear back! Thanks - Lauren

One account but you can have a us currency and cad currency inside. It’s like a chequing and savings. In the wise app where you have your main currency, probably us there should be a plus, add currency. Tap that and add a cad one.

Returns, it’s not worth me paying to bring back. If would offer partial refund first. If they don’t accept give full refund and walk away from cog. Unless it’s very expensive item and you deem worth bringing back. That is my one con. I do fight cases that I think I will win😂

I use a crosslisting app to get my listings over. Link below. But yes you would need to log out and log back in with us credentials. You need 2 separate emails and accounts for posh.

Hey Tabs, I'm 2 days old with poshmark and have been going through some of your videos. I'm confused about a couple of things: First, it automatically set me up with a US closet (though I do not have any items up for sale yet). There is a link I can click to set up a Canadian one too. Why does this matter, really? Will my US items not be shown to Canadians and vice versa, and will US citizens not be able to buy from my Canadian closet?? Forgive me, I'm coming from the ebay world... Second question: Am I inferring right when I assume that poshmark automatically deducts shipping cost? How does that all work? If I want to sell from a "Canadian" closet, to a canadian buyer, for example, poshmark automatically add $13.49 to the total and allows me to print out a pre-paid label, yes? Then I get to Canada Post and what if they say there's an added fee? Or what if I want to expedite delivery? Is there a way to charge the buyer for this?? Third, what happens with the prepaid label when selling from a US closet to a US buyer?? How does that work with UPS or Stallion?

If you are a Canadian, you will want a Canadian closet. If you are an American you will want a us closet. Posh charges the buyer the shipping cost, unless you offer a discounted rate.

If in Canada setting up a us acct, I used the return address the crossboarder courier gave me. I have veryyyy few returns. But if you were someone who gets returns. I will offer partial refund. Or if it’s my fault. Full refund and walk away. Unless you live close to boated and have a return address you can go to. It’s not worth getting back across the boarder

Thanks for the in depth info. Not ready to tackle that yet. Can you comment on your eBay US closet? I’ve had some issues with INAD returns, that we’re not supported by eBay. That don’t support returns from sales generated in Canada, it’s a big black hole. Let me know if you have experienced this

I would be really careful abt this bc Ive seen numerous posts the past few wks where Posh has closed several accts from bypassing this. Something abt a tax liability? *Personally, Idc so dont come for me. Im just passing along what Ive seen bc I would hate to see anyone in trouble.

I think there are other issues. I have filled out w8ben for other companies. If you run a business and submit taxes and are registered… I sometimes think there are details not being shared in these cases

@TabsMcCaffrey can you tell me where I ca facilitate that process, and how, once you start receiving money, before you can transfer to Canadian acc you have to fill out form, how to do that properly?
