Do you want to set up email notifications from your model-driven Power App - perhaps for when a new record is created, or an existing record is updated? In this video I take you step by step through how to set up an email notification to be sent to the account owner when a new account is created in your model-driven app.

Nicely done. I recently had a requirement to ensure the automated emails sent were visible on timelines of the relevant entities (incident and account). Achieved this by adding the Email, and then used the 'Perform a bound action' to actually send the email. Turned out pretty neat and didn't require any Outlook connections in the flow.

So very very helpful, this is brilliant, it didn't quite cover what I needed to build but helped enormously. I am really struggling to send an email from a CRM template when a case is created is there a video for this you are awesome and so easy to understand x

beautiful video as usual, Lisa! Would you know why, when selecting a 'choice' field, I only get the number code instead of the display value? Like, the '120000000' automatically generated instead of the 'Approved' displayed?

Hi Lisa Thank you for your nice videos. I have a question from you. I hope you can help me. I need to create a business process flow that whenever one of our services calls an API a business process flow will be triggered. Then some manual task are create that need to be done by our agents.(like checking documents and identity) When all those tasks are done the whole process is completed. To achieve this, Do I need to follow your videos in any specific order ? If you mention here the correct order of your videos, I'll really appreciate that.

The business process flows don't quite work like that (or at least not with low code, you'd need to be custom coding a solution to do all of that).I haven't got videos covering all this. The business process flow is ready to go all the time on a new record, so if your API triggered the creation of a new record that had a business process flow associated, that would work. You can use Power Automate to create and assign tasks. Triggering a flow to be completed needs to be done with JSON in Power Automate or a workflow. I wonder whether a business process flow is right here for your use case, do you want the users to progress through the stages and have visibility of that, or is it more just about generating tasks and then marking a status field as completed when they are all done (which would be much simpler to achieve)

Thank you. Good video. Do you have a way that we could leverage the send email within a Model driven app? How would you setup the actual email button in model driven app be setup to send right from the app and not a flow. Is there a difference? Like MS as Omni Channel setup for the customer service for example. Can you use those features by connecting like a shared email address to send and receive? Is that clear or am I out of my mind

If you want to send an email directly from the model driven app, you go to the timeline and click + and then select email, and you can write and send it directly from there and it will be saved to the timeline.

Your videos are very very helpful. I need help with something..I have to display datatable(from sharepoint list) in canvas app..it's source should be dynamic bcz any number of lists could be created in that sharepoint site.so I have to display only the one that is searched for ..please suggest a way..if not datatable..then in any form but it should Display the sharepoint list

Yes you can, there is an action called "List rows" available in many of the connectors including Dataverse and Excel that will do this.

Is this solution also applicable for change type: no change by date x /y / z, to create automated reminders to provide inputs / confirm that you don’t have any inputs?

Setting a trigger for something that hasn’t happened is trickier - you’d need to do something like running a list of all records to find the ones that match the criteria (eg last updated more than X days ago)

You need a premium Power Apps license for a model driven app, and that licensing includes premium Power Automate for flows triggered from the context of the app. So you don't need to separately buy Power Automate licensing to do this from a model-driven app

What’s the full use case here? Do you mean the choice is hidden or mandatory based on a yes/no field?
