How to service and repair a Paslode PPN50CI nail gun that will not fire.

This paslode gun would not shoot at all and the pin was left sticking out. Classic sign that there is a problem with the reed valve inside the gun. Also a good service was badly needed on this one. Getting to this problem on time is crittical, as if its left for to long, the threads holding on the reed valve with get distroyed and need to be drilled out and retapped to a m5.

I bought 2 of these off a guy for 60 bucks cause he said they wouldn't work. Cleaned them out, put new fuel cans in them. Worked perfectly. Sold them for enough to buy the Milwauke M18 kit and still have $120 left over haha

Hi Dean, I’ve been watching your video on the ppn gun - very helpful and u obviously know what you’re doing…… my spark has stopped working on my gun, any chance you can assist me with getting it to work ? It sparks sometimes and not others, quite happy to pay for your help - was thinking over a FaceTime call or something. Need it sorted and everyone round my area is useless lol

take of the back cover, pull out the head with the motor on it and leave the wires attached. Install a battery plunge the probe and pull the triger, do this a few times. Look at the spark plug, the spark should discharge to the tip above the spark pin. if it dosent clean it. But if you only get one spark or the it keeps missing a spark, you will have to replace the spark unit itself inside the handle

Hi dean having troubles with my gun has a spark and gas fires 5 nails in which after attempts to fire but doesn’t in which the pin is the fully out and don’t retract unless I push it back myself your get another 5 nails Any help would be appreciated Cheers

Sounds like the Reed valve inside is blocked or broken

Hi dean I’m having an issue with my paslode im360ci not firing, green light when idle but when trigger pressed and nose pushed down it goes solid red - fans working, gas is discharging in the cylinder but have no spark at all - is it a case of needing a new spark plug ? Cheers mate
