Just remember, the source image should be 512 x 512 pixels. Right-click on res > Image Asset. Select the image in foreground layer and color in background layer. In the "Confirm Icon Path" screen, select "main" for Res Directory. There you go.

Hi bro I have changed the app icon perfectly and it shows well in the emulator also but when I convert it to an apk file and transfer it to my mobile it is not showing the icon help me...

In Android 7.1.1 and 8.0 preview I get the standard Icon. Why is that and what I can do about it. Under the folder Imagemap un the project is a folder called Ic_luncher_round_png. in this folder are the round standard Icon. What I have to do that alway my icon are used instead of of the round standard ones? Petra

in oder ab Version Android Studio 3.5 scheint das alles nicht mehr zu gehen. Dazu kann man in Foren auch Statementes des Supports lesen. Da mich das verrückt gemacht hat. Habe ich Tagelang rumprobiert und diese Lösung gefunden. Darf ich mir erlauben, diese Lösung einzufügen, falls nicht, bitte kurz informieren. Dann lösche ich das sofort. Ich habs getestet, es klappt. ************************************************************************************************************************************ - Bild bearbeiten und verkleinern und in Android Icons umwandeln geht auch online. - drawable anklicken rechts Show Explorerer öffnen - Ordner mipmap-dpi icon einfügen mit Klein Buchstaben bennen. - Danach Manifest öffnen - in AndroidManifest.xml in android:icon="@mipmap/Datei" in meinem Beispiel Einkaufswagen ekw einfügen die Datei muss natürlich den Namen haben, den du ihr gegeben hast. - wen es klappt erscheint in Zeile 7, das icon in Mini. links
