Oh yeah I wanted to say I have two bandsaws. I have a 14 inch machine shop one and a little Ozito bandsaw. And I want to put it out there that this ozito bandsaw is a really a well built home handyman tool. If anyone is thinking whether it’s worth picking one up or not for their toolshed, I say get it! You won’t be disappointed it absolutely rocks!
Thank you Ohito for getting back to me a friend of mine has the same model, I work for Bunning so I bought two of them one for myself and one for my friend I found the Ozito bandsaw a very good unit and with the help of my friend we work out and got the blade in the correct position and now it’s running like a beauty I found the unit was a very good item and I would recommend it to anybody in the future personally I am going to order myself to new blades when I get back to work once again thank you Mr. Ozito for getting back to me if. Jeff
Great to hear mate! Happy to help and thank you for passing through your feedback. Let us know what projects you'll be working on when you get back into it!
Good video. Nice to know a bit more about it as I haven't used one in 35yrs, quite helpful. I just want to use it for hobby work making custom tool handles. Oh, you should mention to unplug the power before any adjustments or blade removal.🍺👍🏻
I’ve got almost all Ozito gear with the exception of the bandsaw! Ozito gear has served me awesomely for a hobbyist. I cannot fault any ozito gear I Ave but about 18 months ago I had a brain disconnect and bought a bandsaw from Aldi on SPECIAL! Buy in haste, repent at leisure! Never a truer saying, as unfortunately the Aldi is a monumental piece of s#*/ as it never ran properly! The latest problem is the height adjustment for cutting larger pieces of timber is now stuck at around 70 mm above the table. I wonder will the oxy help? Well I certainly learned a lot out about bandsaws as I’ve spent more time inside this thing then inside….. Let’s not go there! Anyway tomorrow I’ll be buying an Ozito bandsaw.
I'm rather struggling to put the table on this new machine...Your video does not show it either, you only show how to remove it which does not really help me. The manual says to remove the "WEB" from underneat, but the so call web is not showing on its first or other pages! I found a piece of metal with 2 holes in it and it seems to be 'it'? But there is a black knob that will be covered by the table...Got no idea what it is as it is not listed either on the first page. Then there is like a clear plastic 'guide' that will be buried under the table if I manage to put it on top???. At least the guide adjustment were reasonably well explained. So for me now it's "See saw Margery Daw till I figure how to do it
My husband has just bought me a ozito bandsaw for Christmas. I am having trouble aligning the saw blade. No matter how many times I turn the knob (very slightly) clockwise or anti-clockwise I just can't get the blade to run along the middle of the pulley. As I manually turn it, it seems to be okay but I always have a trial run of about 3 seconds and the blade either runs to the back or the front during this period (even though I only turn the knob a little bit at a time). Another issue is that the table will not tilt either, which means I have been unable to place the clear plastic blade guard on underneath. Is there a specific way of doing this?

Hi Andrew, I’ve just bought myself an Ozito Bandsaw and the table comes seperate and there are no instructions on how to connect it. I see in your video here it’s already attached. Do you happen to have any instructions on how to assemble it?
Hi Natalie, I have attached a link below with #7 advising how to mount the table saw. ozito.com.au/main/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/BSW-2581-Online-Manual-COMBINED-Ed3.pdf Cheers
Hi I am having trouble with my Ozito as it will not cut straight for some reason. Was fine for the first couple of months but for some reason it has decided to do it's own thing. Have tried to adjust guides and everything but no luck. Could you please help me out

my saw was bought with a much finer blade around 13 TPI at best guess. I have never been able to cut a circle or a simple pattern and at times the blade will twist off line on anything thicker than 25 mm. The blade is as tight as I am confident with and I set the throat to suit the thickness. Any suggestions please.
When and bought it,thanks to your upload of this tool. It's been a good buy,the tool has saved hours on the job I'm presently doing. Cheers and thanks again for your effort and time to upload details of this tool.
Hi Jack, Great question! Please make sure to check the tension of the blade is correct and ensure the blade is centred in the middle of the top roller. If the blade is positioned too far to the front the piece may run to the right, if the blade is positioned too far back then the piece may run left.
I have followed all the instructions, the blade was fitted when purchased from the store, checked it over and once turned the blade pops off and continuously pops off, am I retarded or have I bought the dud?
Hi Craig, Please give our Customer Service team a call on 1800 069 486 or email them at enquiries@ozito.com.au as they'll be able to assist you here. Thanks
Ozito DIY why can’t you explain so everyone can learn instead you want us to ring the office Please Explain everyone else does,I want to buy one but if the blade keeps falling of??? There’s no way I will buy ozito,ps I have the table saw and I’m happy with that, cheers from a retired chippie
Hi there, according to the user manual, "If the blade tends to run to the back of the blade pulley, turn the tracking adjustment knob anti-clockwise while turning the blade pulley by hand until the blade runs in the middle. If the blade tends to run to the front edge of the blade pulley, turn the tracking adjustment knob in a clockwise direction." Wearing gloves, you can turn the blade pulley and see if the blade moves forward or back and adjust accordingly. I hope this helps, cheers.
This is a good little saw but the blade on mine just snapped after a couple of hours work. just left it running for a few seconds while I picked up another piece of wood and "SNAP" blade just broke. I had a new blade made for the saw from my usual blade manufacturers and all seems okay. The blade supplied with the machine is just about useless and much too fine and flexible. I recommend fitting a 6mm 6TPI blade which costs around $18. Don't order a new blade from Bunnings as you will just get the same crap and double the price.
I have an earlier version of this bandsaw. Is setting up the blade the same. As after running under no load for a few minutes the blade comes off the wheel. On one occasion the rubber band came off. I used double sided glue tape stick rubber belt back on wheel. That kept the belt on but the blade came off after running for several minutes. The saw itself has only been used a couple of times and has sat idle for the last 2-3 years with the tension taken off. Only started to use it recently and ran into this problem. I’m at a loss on what to do now. Can you help?
Hi Alex, thanks for reaching out. The blade set up should be the same, is there any noticeable wear on the belt? Was the bandsaw stored in a hot environment? Not sure if the belt may be the issue? Please reach out to our Customer Service team directly for further assistance - Call on 1800 069 486 (Aus) or 0508 069 486 (NZ) or email them at enquiries@ozito.com.au. Cheers
You explain things so well and take it step-by-step I should be able to copy what you’ve done. On the other hand I’m in the Melbourne Bayside area,if you’re nearby can you please please come round to my joint and sort my bandsaw blade out? i’ll throw in a sixpack of VB can you trouble. No, what the hell you’re worth it… make it a six pack of crownies!

G’day, I hope I’m not too late to comment. Had this product for a while and it’s done well. Recently I’ve tried to start it up after getting a new blade and I believe the motor fans stuck. Everything’s perfect and I’ve aligned it correctly, what’s a troubleshoot?
Hi there, thanks for reaching out. Are the wheels unable to spin by hand? If so, there may be something jammed somewhere. If not then there could be a fault with the motor. We recommend you give our team a call to chat this through over the phone with us on 1800 069 486 (AUS) or 0508 069 486 (NZ) as it should be easier to troubleshoot. Cheers
@@OzitoDIY thank you for the response. I can spin the fan easily but as soon as I start it it stops and the motor hums. Emailing the company they said I need to return to where I purchased for a new one.
Thanks a lot for this, so much clearer than the printed manual. Have now replaced the blade and centred it in middle of rollers and adjusted blade clearances and tension, works so much better now
This is brilliant mate thanks. Wife just got me one . I have assembled it but have 2 hex bolts with nuts spare and 2 discs about the size of a bottle top with holes in them. No item where they go? I used the wing nut on the piece of metal under the front of the table? Any ideas?
Hi Richard, thanks for reaching out. Could they potentially be for the rubber feet? You can also send a photo to our customer service team for further assistance. They can be contacted on 1800 069 486 (Aus) or 0508 069 486 (NZ) or email them at enquiries@ozito.com.au. Cheers
Good video. But I did follow everything you did, but came into problems when spinning the wheel and it would not keep the blade on the wheels. It is tensioned properly it just keep on slipping off. I didnt want to touch the settings at all so when i first ran it, it shewed away at the bottom clear plastic guide, but not much drama there are you able to give ne any more info on that back red knob and how to keep the blade on the wheel?
Sorry to hear of the troubles you’d experienced, if you are able to get in contact with our customer service team at enquiries@ozito.com.au they will be able to assist further.
I found it hard to get the tension on the blade when you’re replacing a new blade it change to run off the the pulley all the time and I got very frustrated with it so I am going to give it a go tomorrow afternoon yours Jeff Bunnings Scoresby
Hi Jeffrey, Thanks for reaching out. Please follow the below steps: FITTING THE BLADE Before adjusting the tension & tracking of the blade, please ensure the upper & lower guides are well clear of the blade (following the steps below). 1. Loosen the door locking knobs and open both housing doors. 2. Remove the left blade guard by sliding it up and out. Also open the right blade cover. 3. Loosen the tensioning knob at the top of the unit by rotating anti-clockwise. 4. Loosen the 2 grub screws on both the upper and lower guide. 5. Insert one side of the blade between the gap at the left of the unit. 6. Then insert the other side of the blade between the gap at the right of the unit. 7. Align the blade on the middle of the pulley rubber tyres of both the upper and lower pulleys. Ensure the blade is fitted with the teeth facing outwards. Please try these steps and please do not hesitate to contact us for any further assistance. Cheers
I am new to woodworking so I don't want to blame the bandsaw but I already wrecked 2 blades. the main problem is the blade becomes dull very fast and then starts wandering and then stopping completely. Not happy. can you point out what the reasons might be.
Hi Shai, thanks for contacting us! From what you are describing, the blade does not sound to be tensioned/adjusted properly. We can suggest you revisit the section ‘set-up and prep-tensioning the blade’ of your product manual to double check no steps have been missed. It could also be due to the material you cutting. What material are you cutting? Cheers
@@OzitoDIY I am trying to cut skateboard wood. Meanwhile I returned the bandsaw and bought a cheap Ozito bench circular saw, and to be honest I don't feel safe using it with skateboard wood.
Hi Tim, thanks for reaching out! The blade specifications are as follows: Length: 1400mm, Max blade width:8mm Teeth per 25mm: 6 We have tested this blade for use on plastic and wood materials. The width should be the same but the number of teeth can be varied I hope this helps, cheers :)
Hey guys, I want to rip palletboards in half, not flat but sitting on their edge i'm just wondering if a band saw would be better or the table saw? The table saw only has 80mm cut depth also, but some boards are 100mm on their edge
Hi Mate, You are on the right train of thought however you will likely need to square your pallet boards first and then create a fence support to assist you in keeping the timber lined up. Make sure you select a bandsaw that can cut the timber depth you are after, this bandsaw will cut up to 80mm.
I just bought an ozito 250w 8" and am having a go at setting it up. The rollers will not slide forward enough to touch the blade. The top roller can not reach it and the lower roller falls out of its holding slot. Are the rollers the wrong size or is something else not setup correctly? Also the bottom wheel does not run true, is this normal? Cheers
Thanks for reaching out, please get in touch with our customer service team on 1800 069 486 or enquiries@otizo.com.au and they'll be able to assist you.
Mine is the same. The wheels have so much run out and offset, so the roller slide wont slide out enough to touch the blade. You get what you pay for im afraid
Hello. I'm really confused. I've setup the bandsaw fine, but I can't get the base plate stable at all. The lever that is meant to turn on the protector hits the base plate, I've put it in the lower hole as per pictures. The last two pages of the setup manual are blank and do not show the process. Neither dies this video or anything I can see online. I may be doing something wrong, but please advise. Model bsw 25181 purchased yesterday . Thank you
Hi Joshua - I am setting my Ozito up at the moment. then I found that the lever on the protractor is spring -loaded. That means you can set the handle vertically down, then lock up the crew by pulling the handle out against the spring tension while you tighten up with a phillips head screw driver. Maybe this will solve your dilemma.
Hi Joshua, so we can help you further, please reach out to our Customer Service team directly for further assistance - Call on 1800 069 486 (Aus) or 0508 069 486 (NZ) or email them at enquiries@ozito.com.au. Cheers
Brought one from Bunnings I have a few ozito items and all work ok for diy but can’t get this one to even cut straight as soon as the wood touches the blade there is so much flex ! I have set the tension and blade guides but still no good
Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear about the issues you are having with the tool. Can you please confirm the model no of the band saw so that we can assist you further.
