@@donkeylzc no, aquatic insects, but they didn't made it long because some where too big. Those who survived are lower in the food chain and feed out of planctoon and debris. There's also some sortvof mud worm which works well!

This "genius" has a super thick accent and talks way too fast and never defines new technical terms with text on screen. He violates just about every accessibility and teaching method there is! Knowledge and skill is useless on YT if you cannot properly convey it.

The endler will eat the baby shrimp though. Maybe the rice fish would as well, but he mentioned them being taken out when they get bigger. I have a nano aquarium in a fish bowl, like in the video. Without filters/heaters and such. I only have Red Sakura shrimp. No snails, no fish. I do a 10% water change two times a week. Then I take out the dirty water from the bottom in between the stones and fill up with tap water. I don't have substrate, only stones on the bottom. And java mos on drift wood, and a lava stone with an anubias inside. They are doing great and are breeding like mad.

I had the same experience. I haven't re-scaped mine as in the end i liked it but i think to get that effect you have to do a really exaggerated slope going much higher at the back than you think, plus he also has the height of the stones. Another factor is if you have a larger bowl which mine is (45 cm diameter) i suspect the flattening effect is more (and possibly the magnifying effect once the water is in is less than in a smaller bowl?).
