i'm going to ship you my dr for you to do the adventure bike makeover! i KNOW it will make me an endurocross God, and for only $9,000???!!!. can't wait!!!!
What kind of modifications should i do on a CH Racing 50 WXE (Moped) so i could do some cross (fields and forests). Performance vise im planning on getting a 70cc kit and a performance exhaust. And strip some unnecessary stuff out of it. But do i need to do other improvements on the frame or suspension?
1ceeb i've got no idea on what those are like but we do have some suspension setup tips on our website crosstrainingenduro.com/cross-training-techniques/dirt-riding-suspension-setup.htm
Ruben Dedman thanks ruben, we are trying our best with limited skills. :-) teaching your kids balance, figure eights and slow riding will make a huge difference later on!
On my young blokes kx85 I put a flywheel weight. On my old 2002 exc300 I have soft compression and a quick rebound other than that it’s fairly stock and I also took out the steering stopper bolts better turning circle
Thanks for the great tips and advice. I have ridden for years in deserts, mountains, prairies and trails. There still many skills I can improve upon. Your videos will be used as soon as I receive my new Husky TE300 this fall.
Hi, I've gone over nearly every vid and can't find the answer to my question. I've just come of a CRF450X and onto a 2017 KTM exc 300, I can't seem to get my suspension right, my CRF suspension was a lot harder the my new KTM, can you tell me how many clicks from centre you go on both your rear and forks for compression and rebound, this KTM suspension is feeling really soft, I was even nose diving when hitting the front brakes. I would like to set the suspension somewhere between cross training set up and fast single track, and hitting a bit of air, Your advise would be greatly appreciated. Jono
I'm really getting into enduro or cross training riding but I am on a CR250 and I do like the bike and have plans to put a flywheel weight in it but I actually just squished the radiator last weekend where would I find a radiator gaurd for my bike?
+rcsquirrel17 i've got no idea which country you are in but in australia most of us use the ultra heavy duty force accessories radiator guards. these are actually getting popular in the US too despite the cost because they are very tough. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DjlWUga30xU.html
It's funny watching this video after seeing your video reviews of the Tubliss system. To think, you once thought that 4 & 6 PSI were impossible! The wonders of modern technology, eh?
i just run heavy duty tubes with about 8 to 9 psi for cross country and enduro only ever had one flat tyre in a race. I don't even use a gauge anymore as long as i can push the knobby in the middle flat with the knobby on the side is all good
Thanks for the prompt reply, Suspension vid would be great. Can you tell me though, do you have your suspension on the harder side or softer side for how you ride ? Regards Jono
These videos are fantastic. I was just looking through my manual at the damping settings, not an hour ago, thinking "I could do with knowing what to set these to" and PING, this video arrived in my Inbox. Cheers guys!
cool, neil! must admit there's very detailed stuff around but i kept the suspension page fairly basic and limited to what our local suspension guru was willing to tell us.
loving your disclaimers and your vids keep up the good work, been practicing a few techiques but my clutch hand is having troble with all the work on the 2 smoker. hope its not to cold in Austria this winter lmfao
ricky evans some of our riders are using the australian build "clake" lever which makes the clutch as easy as a trials bike. they never have sore left hands any more... i'm thinking of buying one!
roostinfilms only really know what i've read about them. they sound like a good idea for anyone who does a lot of slow technical riding and gets punctures a fair bit. out of my price range though, all my riding is on a very strict budget.
CROSS TRAINING, ENDUROCROSS & ENDURO TECHNIQUES I am running my first mousse tube in the rear ttyre at the moment only because I picked some up for $50 each & so far so good.
I have a 2011 crf250 efi. seems like I need to rev high for the ride with clutch slipping to help, have put on a larger rear sprocket. it doesn't seem to have the low power torque that my old 80s xl honda air cooled used to have. is it poss to re map the efi to get that low end effortless torque without reving the balls off it? anticipate good comments on this one thankyou
It is really sad to see that you had to put disclaimers. I hope this is not the consequence of some bad legal encounter! Still, be sure that for every moron who dislikes your contribution, there are plenty of others who, like myself, are really thankful for your sharing. Thanks to your videos I improved more than I thought possible. Once more, Thank you!
yoshyoka no legal encounters but we have researched it a bit lately for mates with private properties and it's a pity that legal liability has got so out of hand many guys won't take the risk of friends riding on their land. :-(
CROSS TRAINING, ENDUROCROSS & ENDURO TECHNIQUES I'm speachless. Fortunately in Europe the courts still blame it on the rider, making such legal actions harmless for the landowner or for people making instructional videos.
Hey. Thanks for all the videos. I have been riding dirt bikes for a few years and my end goal is to do endro races. I just bought a 2009 ktm xcw and the guy had a tall seat and bar risers on it. I'm 5'9" and I can only get one foot on the ground (second foot barely doesn't touch). I have been mostly standing so it doesn't bother me much until I get to gnarly stuff where I have to put my feet down. My question is should I get a stock seat or a low seat? Would being able to flat foot give me more control or is it even worth getting a new seat at all? Should I just keep the tall one? I'm planning on just keeping the bar risers on there (they don't bother me). What are your thoughts? Thanks, Andrew
seen a guy over shoot a table top with bark busters on snapped both his wrists. Have them on my bike as well have saved me many $ in levers as i like big steep hills. Did hurt my right wrist pretty bad once when my front tyre didn't clear a ditch
