HOW TO SETUP A CRESTED GECKO VIVARIUM | GECKO UPDATE! 

My favourite Crested Gecko Morph has to be the Lilly White! It is such an incredible gene! The beauty of the animals expressing this genetic trait is astounding! What I also love is that no two lillies are the same - not even clutch mates! Talk about special! Thank you for watching everyone!

I traveled two hours just to get a tiger morph cresty, my first pet! 2 months after I got him he is great, growing a lot and will even sit on my shoulder when I have to do homework or watch some tv. I think he likes it when the Geico commercial comes on :D.

Here’s a tip: Depending on what type of crestie you have you might want to get a certain bedding. For instance, I got my crestie a coconut dirt bedding, I do not recommended this because mine tried to eat it due to the coconut in it. I’ve learned now that it can be very lethal if they eat too much of that type. Now I choose carpet, but you also have to be careful about that because certain carpets have a low quality material and gecko pads get stuck on it. Also I recommend an auto sprayer, it’s easier for when you have to go on trips for many days and people don’t need to comeover every couple hours to spray it and instead they can focus on feeding it and caring for your crestie. Also if you feed your crestie crickets, only feed them one or maybe two a week depending on the cricket size, if they have to much they get these weird bumps on their body and from what I know it’s not healthy. Also I have made the mistake of wanting to be able to see my crestie more so I only put 1 plant in, but hiding is natural and probably makes them feed a lot more comfortable. Lastly, I don’t recommend mesh hammocks bought at pet stores, especially for hatchlings. Their delicate pads can easily get stuck in the mesh and could injure them badly. I love my crestie! He is a lavender harlequin with some dalmation spots and possibly some brindling. When I was setting up my bioactive for him I watched your other video of setting up the other enclosures for your cresties and it was a huge help, it’s how I found this channel actually

they look great! i don’t have any crested geckos, but my best friend has on and i’ve cared for him before! the jungle mix is ok for me, it always gives me splinters. i prefer zoomed’s reptisoil. i love the cork! also the music in this video was nice😅

Hi there! I noticed that you didn't put springtails and isopods in the substrate, is this okay to do? I read somewhere that you would have to just keep replacing the substrate. How frequent do you have to do this without a CUC? Ty! Beautiful build btw!

Yes you could say I have and adore cresties, I have 8 all rescues. I have two harlequin ,Dalmatian ,tiger ,flame ,red patternless ,blonde ,Halloween, all are in bio active enclosures. They are so fun to watch and interact with .. great video!

I used to have a crested gecko named splat, sadly she passed away due to a chronic bone disorder which is rare in cresties but we knew that we didn’t have long with her before getting her. Her owner was in a car accident which sadly took his life and we offered to have her. She was only 2 months old and we had her for a few weeks after taking her to the vet for a check up (as u should after getting any new pet) and found out that she had the disorder. 3 weeks later she passed away. RIP Splat

I don’t have a crested gecko but I do have a Juvenile gargoyle gecko that I haven’t named yet. I just built an 18x18x36 foam background and mounted corkbark and live planted tank. Really excited for him to grow up so he can get in there. He is a brownish blackish stripe!

I was going to go with a leopard gecko. But I've found that crested geckos are much easier to care for. plus since l live florida their humidity levels and temperatures are much closer to the native land!

my crestie is a rescue! i’m not sure if his morph but some people have been saying he’s a flame! he doesn’t really like handling so i’m moving him over to a bioactive so i don’t have to stress him out and clean it!

Thank you very much I know this video is an old one but I've decided to take action and renovate my full grown crested gecko big cage with a timed mister so I no longer have to spray the cage with a bottle bc I injured myself and adding the right layers under the soil also adding real fresh plants and a big water dish. Is there anyway u have a video on all they can eat and what's best for them to eat?
