How to Setup Amiga Systems in Batocera 

the fact that batocera emulate the loading sound and make you manually load the disc, wait... then able to play... is pretty awesome.

Here's what I've worked out from Amiga emulation: Regular files (Which can be OCS and ECS) can be supported by Amiga 500 Files marked with AGA work with Amiga 1200 Files marked with CD32 or CDTV are self explanatory.

It's actually quite remarkable when you think about the fact they fit these games, graphics sound and all, on a couple of floppies. These days, with the current programming languages, you'd take up a couple hundred for the same effect.

I'm trying to launch F18 Interceptor (Amiga 500) from Batocera v39 however it launches to the Amiga Workbench and shows an icon for the game which I can use the mouse to click and get the game started. Is there a way to auto-launch the game?

I have been playing Amiga games for a while and now they are running at about 50% speed using PUAE. I want to play WHD files but is also does it with adf. I had never got FSUAE working as it could not find the bios even thought they are in the right place. The computer crashes and have to turn it off. Is it possible to reset just the Amiga secction?

Hi, its known that to gaming amiga 1200 was usually used : joystick like quickshotr II , keybord and mouse. .. Do You kwow what is the best way to combine this three device to batocera amiga? Hi I have a usb keyboard connected but using the c64 and amiga games, only thr space bar, return key, escape etc is recognised. All alpha and numerical keys do not resister apart from the A key which just moves the cursor along. Is there a way I can get it performing correctly please? Thanks, great video

I need some help. I am trying to play rainbow island using 2 gamepads for 2 player. But the 2nd player doesn't work. How do i start a game in 2 player mode? What is the configuration needed for the 2nd gamepad? I have configured the 2 gamepads in the emulator but it still doesn't work. Pls help! Tq

No amiga games work for me, it just shows a black n white screen with a white box with 2 load buttons that do nothing.

Great Video, but It seems that I can't get the files to work and I didn't know why?! If I try ADF Files in zip Format, the workbench starts and I can't do anthing. If I used HDF Files, he ask for insert disc in Wh:0 ... I used V35 and dl all right Bios data. I check this under config. So any help what I do wrong?! thanks

hi how do i make it so i have only got 1 entry for each game as it picks up .cue/.iso for the same game make two show up. Just add them into a folder of the same file name?

Where do the kickstarts belong?

Game specific here...I believe I have the latest bios for v33. Don't know if you can help but I can't play career mode in swos 96-97 it just crashes when you pick your team. Normal gameplay seems to run fine.

How can batocera be configured to allow keyboard use in the system its emulating, for example c64, zx spectrum etc i cant get the keyboard to work. Also in zx spectrum quite a lot of the games load the immediately reset when loaded and yet same game same snapshot plays fully on other emulators. Thanks

Does anyone know if its possible to load just the emulator(fsuae) with an amiga harddrive config file in batocera? So that you can start an actual Amiga OS or Aros desktop and can work with the amiga? Something like the Pimiga configs for example? that would be dope. Maybe just adding a *.uae config file in the rom folder?

I had a few CD32 games that asked for the CD serial key when I launched them, don't know how to get past that. 🤔 Btw, you ever check out old console commercials? Checkout the CD32 one 😁 Back in those days it was all about which console has those most 'bits' and the CD32 claimed to be the first 32bit console but man.. The games dont look 32bit quality do they 😁 Just like the Jaguar heavily relied on its advertising as being 64bit.. Gotta love the TV ads of the day 😊

Hello! And do not tell me, here I have a joystick from xbox 360, the question relates to the Amiga 500, how to run games, or rather which default keys

you showed how to upload roms but this is knowledge that everyone already has because roms are loaded the same way on every platform, no matter GameBoy or SENS - never mind. However, you did not show the most important thing... Batocera crashes the message about the lack of roms (kickastarter) when starting every Amiga game- and here the problems begin, because I have gone through the entire internet and there are no instructions anywhere on what and where to upload Amiga bios(kickstarter) files for Batocera to accept them. As far as I know, even the naming of the bios files is important. But you can't learn anything from your material. I know that Kickstarter is copyrighted and I'm not looking for information where to download it. However, I would like to know what version, in which directory, and how to upload the named version of the bios.

Great video and it's indeed a mess with all that disc swapping :d Isn't there a option for amiga500 like amiga1200 does with .iha files so you don't have to swap amiga500 discs anymore?

That's stupid having to keep swapping just to play a game it's 2022 not 1985 you should be able to just mount all the disc's to that game this swapping is out of date now.

ABACABB.....those mortal kombat versions look awfully similar to the sega versions.
