Hi I have a comcast combined modem/router. If I purchase the same router that you used ASUS RT-AX58U (AX3000) will I be able to add the ipvanish vpn to it as a second router? Thank you
I could please use some help with a tutorial or info to install ipvanish -Openvpn’s on one or two clients on my New Asus Router . It’s been flashed to the latest ASUS Firmware then flashed with ASUSWRT- Merlin and this is where everything comes to a halt for me . I have a Mac computer and have the Asus RT-AC 88u already up and running with the Asuswrt-Merlin 362.4 , I also have on the homepage the config files from ipvanish and The Ca certificate authority file which is in the config file .It’s seems the the 88u merlin has a little it different format Throwing a wrench into the whole works Thanks , B
I tried this on my RT-N66U I followed all the steps and got the Blue check mark. When I opened firefox or chrome I could not connect to any site. Not even google. I use IPvanish on my PC and it works perfectly but I thought I would try in the router so the complete house and its PCs would go through the VPN but no luck
I just suscribe into the VPN Vanish website, and I have the ASUS AC88U model but by the instructions guide on their website , by my model number ,they are giving me only 1 file to download and also they are asking me to flush my router. Any thoughts?
I can connect to the VPN company but my problem is the only software works is Telegram and I can't use chrome at the same time I can see the ping increase which means my PC is connected to the VPN but other software not working and both Android and PC are saying No Internet!
Hello, thank you for the tutorial. I was wandering, is there a way to exclude certain devices conected to the router from using the vpn. For example, I have a PS5, and I am asuming ping will be higher when using VPN on my router. If I set VPN on my asus rt ac5300 , can I choose which devices conected to it will use VPN? Thanks
Can you have more than one client active at the same time in case one server goes down or becomes unresponsive? Does the VPN provider frown on that? For example, 2 clients vs 20 clients at the same time?
