Hey Buddy. Valueable videos for many newbies coming into the sport and seasoned professionals like myself trying to get their head around OTX/EdgeTX, so well done as always. But can I make a suggestion about the terminology of the flight modes to keep it more uniform with other transmitters and how they are referenced to and this is what you're calling idle up 1, as this would normally be referred to as normal mode, then you have idle up 1, idle up 2 selected by the same switch and throttle hold and throtle cut on another. For those coming from Spektrum, Futaba, JR etc with helicopters you would see the modes labelled as Normal, IU1, IU2 and hold. This might help people follow on easier especially if they are crossing over to OTX/EdgeTX and following this video. How you have the curve set is perfect, with the throttle output rising sharply between bottom and 1/4 stick movement then levelling off to a straight line to keep the ESC in govenor mode or other.

You know there is not a single video to set up a Quadcopter model in EdgeTX on RU-vid so I am here trying to learn the basics to do it for a quadcopter. This is way different then a XD9+ opentx model setups

Appreciate all your videos they are very helpful. However My issue is setting up the ikon software in the ikon software. Ca you please do a video on the ikon software itself? That would really help. I have also heard that there is a lua script for the ikon for the tx16s do you know where I can find it or could you include that in the video? If not maybe you could steer me in the right direction. Hope to hear from you soon. Keep up the good work your helping all of us more than you know.

i am working on mine now and im at transmitter setup page and i cant get my stickends correct as the ranges ends at -100 and 100 i need to go higher than 100 and lower than -100. Thanks for your help

Thanks for pointing me to this video. One question .. am i not supposed to choose a svash-plate layout on the TX like on my Spektrum TX... like "H1 one servo" ... and then the rest on iKON. I got 2 iKONS but i not yet dared to to program a heli on my EdgeTX or OpenTX ... ;o)

I’ll tell you man…I come from a flysky fs-i10 and open tx is a confusing frigging radio system…like if you all used the i10 you’d wonder why open tx has to be so frigging difficult. I was looking at a radio to switch to and it was this or the paladin pl18 and I’m going for that…I know the pl18 is a new radio system as well to me but is waaayyy less complicated.

All this video does is make me want to go back to a spektrum transmitter lol. This Edge TX stuff is just too complicated for me

Even scale helicopters have negative pitch lol.
