@@BatoceraNation you can find J4125 in Super Console PC Lite,GMK NucBox,CHUWI Larkbox etc. Mine is in a GK3V Mini pc. It has 4 cores /4 threads , 8 gb ddr4 ram and 2,0 ghz up to 2,7 ghz speed. There is a huge distance for emulation and money between mine and the 2 NUC you have and when i made a google search there wasn't something between J4125 and Ryzen 5 or i7. Thanks a lot .

@@incomingtruth49 Yes i did exactly everything he did from 12:50 and on and nothing extra .There is less than 20 games playable mostly 2D for J4125. I 've been able to play and finish Sillent Hill 3 a little bit better than before .Half Life was excellent and Devil May Cry frame skip was better.See Chigz Tech Reviews who made a video for the Retrostation PC (Similar specs) and there you can see the PS2 playable list

Depending upon your hardware, it should be possible. In fact, with Vulkan being integrated in PCSX2, it will be more possible now than ever. The Batoceran team are going to integrate the latest Vulkan release of the emulator into Batocera. For Version 33.

I originally had compressed them in a different format and they were slow loading up the first time. So far the CHDs I've converted have worked and so much faster at loading up.

Your dream came true for the next coming batocera 33 version. You could add bezels for all standalone emulators and the white bar has been fixed.

@@f65 Yeah in know, i tested the dev version a little while ago. Awesome. Also noticed they changed the designs too, which I actually like.

I haven't tried that. I will have to put that request in my List of things to work on. If I find a solution, there will be a tutorial video on it.

Batocera has drivers built in. If the graphics card is older than 5 years, it may or may not work.

Change aspect ratio option in settings to 4x3,or core provided if you use Libretro PCSX2. Some games do have a native widescreen option in its own game settings, for those you could then also change aspect setting to 16:9. If you want to play those in widescreen that is.

Batocera allows you to save your game at any time with your Hot Key plus your X or Square button. Then you can load your saved game by pressing your Hotkey plus your Triangle button. Somehow you are pressing your Hotkey plus your triangle button or you don't have a Hotkey. Go to "Controllers and Bluetooth Settings" from the Batocera Menu and set your Hotkey so that you have a two buttons combination to save and load your saved games.

Have you looked into the PS2 wiki page of the actual games? The link to the wiki PS2 games is found in the video description. That will tell you the settings you need and whether it is compatible with your system or not.

You cant get them to boot up? What extension are they? If they are correct perhaps they are bad rom dumps. Did you also try both the pcsx2 stand alone and pcsx2 Libretro core emulator options?

bios files aren't the issue, as soon as you got a good one it just works. I however found myself in the weird situation now that all bios files decided to default to english after a long usage and batocera just straight up refusing to let me use either my keyboard or any of my controllers to change it back to the language the specific bios should be in - really gotta love not being able to play some of my games because they're locked to 2 languages of which I only speak 1 - and ofcourse they default to the one I don't speak as there's no english language available on them.

If you dont have a ps2 folder its because its not supported. I think ps2 support is only for X86 64. Pi isnt powerful enough.

Have you set your controller to X input mode? Or try D input mode. One of those 2 modes should work. Or set it in X input mode then go into Batocera menu, choose Controllers and Bluetooth settings and configure it from there before going to PS2 emulation.

No, no risk at all. It is perfectly safe. It will never format your system hard drive. It will just format the virtual memory card for the PS2 emulator. In fact, you need to do it since it will save the progression of your PS2 games. So, go for it and enjoy PS2 emulation.

Are you using the latest version of Batocera? Also, settings for pcsx2 stand alone may have slight diff option settings than if you use the Libretro core of pcsx2.

Bios files for the games systems that need them? Like ps1,ps2,saturn etc ? Simply transfer the bios files into the bios folder. When you a launch a game through Emulation Station it should launch. If you get a message pop up saying bios file needed or missing you need to add the right ones.

If your PC is not powerful enough, it won't work. Are you running this on a Discrete card or integrated chip? What are the specs for your Batocera system?

what this video isn't showing is batocera v32 latest stable has 2 versions of pcsx2, the pcsx2 standalone version and the libretro/pcsx2 core, honestly im still trying to figure this crap out, it's a bit of a mess, but you can choose which emulator you want to use as default and you can choose which emulator you want to use per game if you long press on the game and choose advanced settings, vulkan is still a miss for me, i can't figure out how to enable it on pcsx2 or ppsspp and get it to be my default backend, im using an amd rx580 8gb model, it should be new enough to support vulkan on linux, its supported under windows, anyways, i think there is a bunch of bugs on the latest v33 Dev build i tested it out last night and found a few bugs, one of the bugs prevented any button presses from my gamepad to register on the batocera home screen. i had to ssh into the machine and downgrade back to v32 stable, the team says they are projecting releasing v33 stable by the end of the month, but im not sure if all the bugs will be ironed out by then, i really wish they made saving settings per emulator a bit more simplified.

In the Info section within System Settings, does it show you Nvidia drivers within the graphics section?

Yes sir . I watched your video about activating the Nvidia driver . Everything good and every system runs flawlessly including Dreamcast and GameCube. Not sure what’s going on but my pcsx2 app doesn’t even have an option to select the plug-in like SSE4 and so on ? Not seeing any folder with the plugins on pcsx either and I remember being able to choose the plug-in from the emulator

Something is not right. There might be a bug. I would suggest to post your problem to the official Batocera.org forums and see if a developer will contact you or an advanced user.

The file manager only works from within Batocera. You can't take out the USB stick and plug it inside Windows. You will corrupt your Batocera image. Instead, copy your games to a portable drive. Then plug that drive to your Batocera system and then press F1 to copy your games stored on your portable drive to your roms folder in Batocera.

Go to the wiki page of that game in PCSX2 and find out what settings work best.

@@BatoceraNation Thanks for the feedback. I unfortunately have OpenGL 3.0 and the emulator requires OpenGL 3.3 to run successfully.

Sorry to hear that.

You might be able to download it from somewhere and place it back in, but if you cant locate it this longer way of doing it should work. So, whatever version of Batocera you are using download the image again (unless you saved it somewhere on your reg PC) and flash it to spare flash drive. Boot it up as normal then press F1 on keyboard, go to apps folder and copy/paste the pcsx2 app to your desktop, so you would have to locate your PC hdd folder, it might be caller 'no label' in the drives list. Once you are sure you have located the hdd (or ssd if you are using one) go into that, then it might be users/windows, users/desktop.. Or something along those lines. After you have it then do the reverse, copy/paste it into your Batocera build you are using, back in app folder. Hope that explains it OK.

Have you got the bios files needed for PS2? Placed in the bios folder. Have you tried both PS2 emu options, the PCSX2 stand alone and the PCSX2 Libretro core? What format are your PS2 games in?

@@fonzitheman I've tried Iso, gz, bin, and chd and nothing will load the games. I have the PCSX2 I have put them in the PS2 folder and all I get is the black screen for a bit as if its going to load and then it throws me back to the menu with all my PS2 games. Is there a process I'm missing or what?

@@brandonadcock ISO should work thats what Im using at the moment. But have you tried using both the stand alone and libretro core? And, have you got PS2 bios files in the bios folder? To check for that press start for settings on main batocera systems view/game settings/missing bios files check

For ps2? If you are using pcsx2 stand alone emulator option I think all of the emulator settings are now in the advanced settings option (in Batocera v35 anyway). You shouldnt have to alter any settings from pressing F1 and doing it from the apps folder anymore.

@@fonzitheman yes for PS2 Here is what happens I press F1 and go to Applications I go to PCSX2 and change the zoom to 101% I save I close PCSX2 and open it again, it is saved But when I close the window and come back to Batocera, then the changes are discord And it does that only for PCSX2, not for Dolphin for example Thanks !

Check the screen ratio option you are using for your chosen ps2 emu. If you are using the stand alone pcsx2 or the Libretro core check your screen ratio setting. Is it on default? Core provided, 4,/3?

Last time I checked this worked. I beleive IT was one of the features annonced in V30 that IT would support for 8players. You must set IT via EmulationStation menu. Tried IT with 4x 8bitdo sn30pro in xinput mode

On your game controller. Press and hold down the A key and you will see the menu.

For PS2 emulation, 8th generation of Intel chips and up. Look for Iris or Iris Pro chips from Intel.

I have i5 4570T 5th gen. Can run quite a few PS2 games, most at native 1x res though. But God Of War… no.

Go to the wiki page on the PS2 site mentioned in the video. From there look to see if you need to change the settings.

@@freemoney8844 Because its a non standard game controller from China, all bets are off and its bound to be incompatible at some point or not 100 compatible with Linux. If it uses a dongle, that dongle may not be 100 compatible with Linux. You won't have problems with a standard controller. The Batocera wiki page will tell you what controllers have been tested and are compatible.

I think at the time of this video Vulkan was not supported by PCSX2. There is a newer video where he shows Vulkan on PCSX2.

You didn't see the whole video. It talks about the Bios files. Look for Installing Batocera 31.

I do not have pcsx2 on my batocera raspberry pi 4. How can I install one?

Im using an HP 800 G2 i7 6700T. 2.8ghz 4 cores 8 threads. Intergrated graphics 530. Most PS2 games run at 2x for me on that, some maybe higher but I left ps2 systemwide at 2x However some games need to be set at 1x,like the God of War games for eg. And a few still run to slow to keep on. And stand alone PCSX2 works better than the Libretro core version, on this mini PC anyway. So if you are getting 3x for ps2 games you tested you are doing very well. Perhaps the video card makes a huge diff on PS2,as Im using intergrated graphics. Did you try God of War 1 and 2? Btw, I compressed mine to CHD, you save so much more storage space, especially the bigger your library is, not just for PS2,but also for other CD based systems like PS1,Saturn, Dreamcast etc.

Eventually it will make it to Batocera when a Linux version comes out.
