I've had 4 Echo devices for a few years now & they all worked great till now. All of a sudden 2 Echo Dot Gen 4's stopped responding. I unplugged & waited 20 secs & plugged it back in & it would work for a day or 2 & stop responding again. I spoke to an Echo Tech Rep at Amazon who suggested to do what this Video shows you & reset the unit like it was new & see what happens, I followed this Video & Set it up again. I guess I'll see if the problem continues. If so, they want me to call them back. Fingers crossed & awesome Video here, Ty.

like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, ru-vid.comUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....

after your all set up and connected to you rhome wifi, can you turn off your wifi on your iphone and just use your data plan?

Once my Alexa is setup do I need to keep the phone in the house connected to Wi-Fi to be able to use the Alexa? For example if I have bought an Alexa as a present for someone who only has internet can I set Alexa up at their house with my phone and then once I leave will they still be able to use Alexa as normal?

There are 2 models. The one without clock is the hub or main one, but I think, having more than one is needed for full experience. Plus the one without clock has the biggest speaker and 2 sub woofers.(sounds great btw) I ordered the clock then took someone's advice and got the 2nd echo. So glad I just did it. In for a penny...

It, as is your Prime, part of the initial Amazon setup that comes with all units bought directly thru Amazon. Access tens of thousands of Alexa skills including your Amazon music unlimited. Just ask Alexa..

Do this… unplug ur modem/router from wall socket then wait 30 seconds then plug back in and try again after a minute or so when connected. 👍

it's ridiculous how this app doesn't work at all. keeps failing and leaving setup mode. can't find the thing. it can't connect to wifi... god. amazon sucks.
