Here is an intstuctional tutorial on how to setup and program with WINKFP BMW engineering tool and manually flash a new module. Here we flash an E60 AL module which is for the Active Front Steering. This exists on PT-CAN databus line and the SGM (safety gateway module) exists on the BYTEFLIGHT databus line.
The Active Front Steering module (AL) is tied into the ARS, DSC/ABS, SGM, SZL.
