Certain parts such as the Instrument Cluster, EWS, CAS, DME, LM, ZGM, FEM, etc., contain mileage data. Driving vehicles with such swapped parts may result in mileage corruption, and therefore must not be used. The CCC/CIC Headunit, MASK, CHAMP2, RADIO2 or Headunit-High has enabling codes for certain features, e.g., satellite radio. If a feature is already enabled, but sees a different VIN on the bus system during power-up of the module, it cancels the code automatically. When an enabling code is canceled, it is not reusable. The only way to enable the feature again is to either contact Technical Service or replace the control unit at your own cost. Therefore, swapping these types of parts on E-Series vehicles is not recommended.
Hi Everyone, I would much appreciate some help if I could get. I have BMW 525d E60. After a run diagnostic the car lost any communication and the message says in ISTA P "the vehicle can't be identified due to missing terminal 15". Is there any chance to fix it with ICOM ISTA.... Many thanks
Airbag may not allow to reflash too many time but you can stil try though, if winfpt does not do it right then use ISTA-P and click to MRS-ACSM module, then ISTA-P will treat it as a replacement follow-up. it should be good, if ISTA-P finds no fault with part numbers and still programmable times left.
Hei. I was trying to code SZL module with ISTA-P. It was not successfull. I got a messeage: "Global vehicle communication. CipLi.b.10002-(CIP. )Input parameter for Program function has inorrect value" Any idea what is the reason the message came up ?
I have E83 2009, When Running INPA, Selecting F7--> E83, I cant find Functional Jope to read user information fields ? But INPA with my other Cars E60 or E66 work perfectly, Mainly I want to achieve E83 transmission Adaptation .. Any Help

ok why nobody shows how to save codes from your old module which is damaged and then flash that codes in another used module which is buyed from another bmw ?

Yes you can buy the software off eBay from me then use it to reset the FRM counter lock to 0 If the software tells you to replace the module then you buy a new module then Program & Encode it. But before that you have to find the fault that caused it or else its gonna happen after 50 or 60 terminal 15 changes. What does the fault codes say?

Well the latest updated one right now I sell on eBay is $200.00 If you need the link just request it. Then you use ISTA-D to do a service function reset. Check the output circuit of the side lights and bulbs filaments. Check for short circuit to ground or short to B+ Do a visual inspection.

+Ibra She You need to buy a new module, then use ISTA-P to treat it as a replacement follow-up, that should program & Encode the module, your lights should work again.
Hi Today I found 2 modules FAS and BFS (front seat modules), both has same ZB No. 6927317, how can I update each one? I started with BFS, but when WinKFP finished program, I found it updated FAS!! Now how can I update BFS.? Since it doesn't have car VIN number but yyyyyyyy instead!? Regards,,
To write the vin number in the module. Use winkfpt click F1 to go in comfort mode, then click on F1 to enter zusb, then enter the current zb number for the bfs, then chose the ecu from the ecu family tree. Look on BFS labeling for the 7 digit part number use that as the zusb number. Its the same of what BMW called the assembly identifications number. After you select the bfs unit then click OK. Then click on Enter Vin number, Type in or copy & paste the Vin. Then click OK then click done then click program. Just wait. Make sure that a charger is on the BMW battery to keep its voltage above 13volts.

I have updated the modules by selecting both "beifahrersitz" and fahrersitz" from the module family, it works on 2 stages, FAS finished without and notification message, the press program , then starting BFS update, when 100% completed, finished message pop up. DONE. now I want to update transmission module, do I have to do any procedure after software update get complete Do? Thanks....

+Mjksoft A : Buy this charger on eBay: DSR INC-700a Schumacher battery charger. it is digital display it has 4amp, 20amp, 70amp automatic scale. it have buttons to set for programming voltage at 14.3 volts.
Hi Using same steps I succeeded in some modules, BUT while updating CIDF module E65 06, It stopped at18% and cant update it any more since its status now become 12!! How to reset programming this module and change the status to 12. +Mjksoft > The Module on MOSTBUS require ICOMA2 or ICOMA1 via Ethernet and your DHCP must be enabled in ip4 tcp/ip setup, then use ISTA-P to program & Encode the CCC/MASK-GW. Never use k+dcan cable to do items on the M.O.S.T BUS. For F-series BMW use ISTA-P with ICOM or E-net Cable & on E-series BMW USE ICOMA1 or ICOMA2

+BMW PROGRAMMING JAMAICA Finally CIDF is working now, I have reset RAM in luster hidden menus, then starting over the WinKFP , update the module using k can cable, process starting ,,, 100% completed,,, the done ,, program ok. Now my rear screen back alive, lol,. Anyway I will not touch any module in MOST bus. Thanks for support, your videos were great.
Porgramming status 12 means the programming was aborted, you can use ISTA-P to reprogramm it, if it respond to identification query ( meaning it is not in red) but green or yellowish color.
