After 6 years away from recording my goals are to re-learn every thing I've forgotten, thanks to your channel that makes it much easier, I've upgraded to Cubase 12, learn it as best I can, with the goal of growing a work flow that allows simple creativity. Improve on mixing and arrangements, and release a single, no pressure! Keep up the good work, your content is always easy to understand and makes my life much easier! Thanks again! ✌
Happy New Year 2022! You’ve got a new subscriber, new to CUBASE/Nuendo (actually I bought NUENDO, to be honest I don’t know why I chose Nuendo over CUBASE), just starting with recording, mixing and maybe mastering 😉! Thanks so much Chris for being out there, just watched 1-2 videos, but I‘ve already learned so much and now I want to go on…can’t wait for more to come and old videos to watch 😊! You & Dom & CUBASE = Dream team, the best thing that happened to CUBASE/Nuendo and of course the subscribers! Keep going! 👍
Thank you for the insights, Chris. I wish you and everyone that is reading this comment a great 2022, with much improvements in your production skills, more and more quality on your music creations.
Thanks Chris! My main music goal for this year is to release an album. I already have some drafts, half-done and almost-finished tracks. Now stuck at mixing stage cause I want to improve quality of the mixes and need to buy at least open-backed headphones. Also I switched to MacBook and sold my E-MU 1616M PCIe audio interface so at this time I don't even have a solid audio interface to work with :) So these are the first steps (target goals) before I can return to mixing of my tracks so as I discovered while writing this comment it's a good idea to write them down to my planning as steps to the main goal :)
My first Target Goal was to watch this video. I'm on my way to a great 2022! 😁 This is great Chris, thank you! My goal is to score three short films in three different genres in 2022.
Hi Chris. Thanks for sharing. Very useful. My main goal is to produce a song in a minimum time. And one of my target goals will be to improve on my production skills. Cheers!
It's actually been my main goal now for about 3 years or ever since the mixing bug bit me. This year how ever, time to hunker down and learn cord tracks so can take advantage of everything it has to offer. Groove Agent falls inline with my goal as well. Great video! Thanks for the inspiration Chris.
My main goal is to finish at least 1 of the my many unfinished tracks each month, and release them next holiday season...maybe with a bonus new track included. My cat will love it!
My one goal is to connect with amateur film making groups in my area and work with them to compose, mix and master a score. Thanks for getting me to write that down.
Great tips, thank you! As I've recently moved house and also have a computer that's now obsolete (2009 Mac Pro), my main goal this year is to bring my gear up to scratch and set up a new studio in my new house! I think that might take most of the year, too, as there's some domestic stuff that has to happen first (window repairs, curtains and blinds, rugs/carpets...).
Thanks for the content man. To lay out goals and to seek advice, here’s what I got. I release a track a month. Something I just started the later part of 2021. Some covers some originals. But it’s all cinematic music. Those are my monthly goals. For the year I would like to get small jobs as a composer that will build my resume to help get bigger and better jobs and make composing my main source of income. And the only way I know to do that is to continue to put out music and build my catalogue. Online courses for mixing and production can get expensive. And I’ve found that a lot of online communities are for boasting and looking down in new comers. So I’m looking for free/inexpensive or pay by installment courses I can do by myself to learn the skills I need. Any suggestions?
