How to Sew a Double Pocket Book Cushion by Debbie Shore

This is a really simple, quick project for the kids or for yourself! A double pocket on my book cushion leaves room for sunglasses or crayons as well as tour favourite book or magazine.
Materials from www.debbieshoresewing.com
Materials:
16” [40cm] cushion pad
32” x 30” patterned fabric [On the Road Grey Cotton] [if your fabric is wider than 44” [112cm] you will need less fabric
16” x 18” [40cm x 46cm] plain fabric [Dark Office Grey]
14” 36cm] zip
Cut:
1 square of patterned fabric measuring 16” x 16” [40cm x 40cm]
1 piece of patterned fabric measuring 16” x 14” [40cm x 36cm]
2 pieces of patterned fabric each measuring 16” x 9” [40cm x 23cm]

Thank you for the nice pattern. I think these would make great gifts. I would add a handle at the top, so it's easy to carry. I love the extra pockets too.

Oh Debbie...you make everything look so easy...I'm completely wiped out making this ...lots of unpicking, my cushion was 23x23 and didn't have enough main fabric..oh and my thread was literally on its last legs...totally stressed out ...but thank you got there in end..far from perfect as a beginner but quite chuffed x

Hi Debbie, I am having difficulty in finding an exact 16" cushion, alot of them are 16 1/2" or other sizes with the 1/2" . How much fabric to do a 16 1/2" cushion please. ? Help from anyone on here would be appreciated
