The lace touch on the pointed toe shoes is elegant, for sure. And the purple sole detail on the stylish boots adds a complimentary finish. Lovely designs. Impressive technique! Thanks for sharing!💕
I'm thankful for this tutorial, now I can make my own shoes for my Souldoll Zenith girl (finding good shoes for her is a lottery) and Blue Fairy doll. Thanks for help and showing all process :)
Thank you, Beth, for sharing your tutorial! I was searching through Internet how to make flat shoes for my Kizuna. Your detailed tutorial help me to understand how to build a pattern. I hope, I have enough skill to make such beautiful shoes as yours! Thank you! ☺️🤍
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I was able to follow it and also adjust the size a little for my Proudoll BJD from Amazon! My confidence has improved and I'm going to make another pair soon 🙂
Thank you so much for showing your drafting method! I'm having to make a show pattern for a very tiny bjd (shes 6in tall) I got from a very tiny company and I'm so excited to try your method
Thank you Beth for a lovely tutorial and pattern ☺️ these are the type of shoes that I’ve wanted for my Smart Doll, so I will try my hardest🥺 to have a go at making these 🤞🏼I would like to try and make a matching bag to go with them too. Your Smart Doll and Blythe dolls are so very beautiful 💜
You’re so welcome! 😊 Thank you so so much, and for your support, I hope you enjoy all the patterns ;) Hope I'll get to see the shoes and matching bag sometime!
@@BethRamsden awwww🥲 thank you Beth for your very lovely words. I just purchased a few of your other patterns too. Will you be attending the Blythe Convention in London this year? If it goes ahead hopefully 🙏🏻🌻
I’m saving up to buy my own Dauntless, these shoes are beautiful, especially the lace pair, I’ll definitely try to make these. Lovely channel - new subscriber!
These are fabulous Beth. Looks like I’ll have no excuse not to make Rose Resilient shoes now! I might try your technique to make some for Wren as well. She desperately needs more shoes!
@@BethRamsden Wrens feet are quite a bit bigger than Blythe, but I have tried the pattern by increasing it and it didn’t turn out too bad, but I think I might be able to get the fit better if I draw round the foot at the different angles like you did to make the top part. Well at least I hope I can! Thanks so much.
👍I loved the shoe demonstration!.💙..they are perfect. I'm a new subscriber, so am wondering if you've ever made a video for making (tall) boots. I scanned through your video list, but didn't see one. It would save me a lot of trial and error time if I could see how it's done correctly.
Thank you! Happy to have you here! I do want to try altering the free pattern that’s shared on the Smart Doll site, to make longer boots sometime soon 👍🏼 possibly for my newest grey Smart Doll 😊 so watch this space, I’ll certainly share my experience! 👢👢
Thank you so much for this tutorial Beth!! All the shoes are beautiful but I wouldn’t mind trying to make a pair for my Youpla Ziya Doll. She has such small feet that I can only find kid style shoes for her but she’s an ‘adult’ style doll. So again Thank You!! Great easy to follow tutorial!! 💖❣️
Wow those diy shoes are simply amazing and this is what I was looking for my Ken doll to make kung fu shoes for him! Just hope mines will turn as great as urs.
Thank you so much for this! I've been struggling with making shoes for my dolls, they all come out looking like chunky slippers and even though I love the boots I bought with them, they don't really fit summer looks that well :P
I went to Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Walmart and even checked Amazon and I can't find any textured foam. I guess I'll just be using flat foam for the bottoms. I like how the textured foam looks but I could only find regular, flat foam sheets. I don't know if it's just not sold now, or if it's hard to find because of supply chain issues like a lot of stuff, but I guess I'll just keep an eye out for it. I make a trip to craft stores often enough, maybe I'll find some eventually.
I saw some on eBay a while back, but I struggled to spot it online too. In Hobbycraft it was in amongst the plain sheets of coloured foam. Hope you manage to grab some! Adding a heel shape on top of a plain sole adds a nice bit of detail at least ^_^ Hope you have fun crafting!! Thanks for watching ⭐
These are so cute! I'm definitely going to try making some for my dolls. Luckily, I only ever hand-sew, so it shouldn't take long for me to make since I'm used to hand-sewing. Is there any chance the painted inner-soles could stain the bottom of the dolls' feet? That was my first thought when I saw that you did it that way, especially with darker colors like purple.
Oh yes these will be a great hand-sewn project since they're so small ^_^ I've never had any staining from Acrylic paints before, though I would avoid gouache or anything that will re-activate with water (acrylic is permanant once dry). You don't have to colour them at al of course! You could instead glue fabric to the soles? Hope you have fun making your shoes!! Thanks for watching ^_^
Maybe I’m just new. Well not maybe I am a beginner with like the sewing. But why is nobody talking about that technique to make a big knot for your thread. I wish I had known that when I was starting to do like canvas sewing projects lol
You’re right! That knot blew my mind when I recently learned it! I’ll have to show it more often 😉 I think it’s a very clever technique! I’m glad you enjoyed this! Thanks for watching ✨😁✨
