This is the most informative video I think I've ever watched. This should be required viewing for anyone that uses makeup. I plan on watching this video again. Thank you so much
Sharalee, Thank you so much for your detailed explanations of placement and products to use in order to shape areas on your face. It all makes so much more sense, now. Thank you for this series of videos. You always make things so much easier to understand. You know I love you, sweet sister. ❤Love❤, KIMBER (Your Austin, Texas Sister in Beauty and Faith)🥰🙏
I love this series, at 68 you would think I know how to put on makeup...but I don't. I grew up in the no make up era, just mascara, no bras, etc....and just am overwhelmed by how many things you use. I never wore makeup until I was in my late 40's!..Thanks for explaining so well❤
Sharalee, you are an amazing teacher in all applications of makeups and eyeshadows. Thank you so much for putting so much work into presenting such amazing step by step teaching to all of us ladies. Have you watched RoseMarie founder of RMS, where she applies bronzer in front of the face under the eye socket bone, and to the why she applies it there? At 62, with more mature skin, I tried it and wow it really makes a difference. She talks about how the sun doesn’t hit the sides and of our cheeks, but the front. Let me know what you think. We are so blessed to have you teaching us in all ways of applications of all makeups.
Another great tutorial! I’ve already watched it twice!! Blending is a constant challenge for me…either I blend it all off or not enough. The struggle is real 😅.
Thank you Sharalee. You explain things so well. You seriously should be a professional make up artist! Hoping you will do a video for eyebrows. Yours are perfect and flawless. I need help with that! Thanks again!😊
This was just WONDERFUL! As usual, I learned so much from this video! I love that you explained how to use each one. Another trip to ULTA is definite!! LOL... LOVE these videos so much!! Take care, sweet friend...Love and blessings!
You do an excellent job explaining products, techniques, for all age groups. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!! Thank you for your recommendation of Terri Blackstock’s Restoration Series. I’m on the last book, Dawn’s Light. I’ve loved this series. I’m going to be sad leaving the Branning Family! Blessings to you & your family ❤
A lot to learn … so interesting to see how you apply contouring it’s amazing how that makes a difference 👍. Highlighting and bronzer applications are neat as well. Stayton might not recognize me with all your tips ha ha just kidding !!! Thanks for all your special beauty advice See you in Building Blocks #4. 🩵🌹💜🌹💚🌹
So happy you are finding these videos helpful! I'm sure Stayton appreciates all of the "work" you put into your makeup🥰 Thank you for faithfully watching, sweet friend💖
Thank you so much for this fabulous video. It is an area that I have never been able to figure out the right way and you certainly covered the basics for me. Thank you very much. Also I always watch your Sunday music ❤and enjoy it very much. Your technique is beautiful. Blessings to you and your family ❤️
Back in the day, before bronzers and contour products existed we used a deeper neutral blush to achieve a similar result. We also were told to stop our blush and angle upwards so your face looked slimmer. Putting blush on the apples of your cheeks and across the nose was a no no if you wanted a slimmer looking more natural looking face.
Hello my friend, I don't contour because my face is already small, but I like bronzer which gives me a healthy glow, highlighter in small doses because I have oily skin.💗💗💗🧡🧡
Sharalee, how do you keep makeup from your jaw off the necks of blouses or dresses you wear? I watched a makeup tut that took foundation and powder all the way down the neck to the décolletage. Any tips? Or should we just be careful? 🤷🏽♀️ Thanks! ❤
Great question! This is where I feel like matching your foundation to your neck is so important so you don't have to take your makeup all the way down the neck. But even blending a little down the neck can still be problematic. I find that blotting the neck with a tissue and then using a little finishing powder on the neck can help prevent transfer😘
I didn’t like the Halo glow. I felt like it moved from where you placed it. I have noticed my bones shrinking. I went through menopause about 13 years ago. I’m 50 now. First thing I saw was fine wrinkles, then some sunkeness. Sagging came next. And just recently the bones. So moving around products just won’t do. The Wet n Wild contour palette isn’t too bad applied with a small stiff brush that’s wide. I tap it and that diffuses the powder. I was impressed with the Laura mercier product. How cute! I may try the Physician’s Formula diamond dust powder. I tried the defense powder-yuck. It was the round blue one. Tried the diamond setter that claims to blur. It definitely plumps! And it didn’t mess anything up. But that Halo glow? Throw it away. And I don’t remember exactly but with retinol use the sun might change the absorption. So it either stays in the skin or is absorbed by bones? My grandpa used it along with a UV lamp to treat his psoriasis. His nose was super chiseled when he died. But he also had bone cancer. I saw multivitamins with vitamins c,a,e combined with retinol. That was a first. I think you can combine vitamin e or a topical oil with a supplement for different reasons too.
