Thank you very much. These kind of videos are the most useful on RU-vid. Shimano is outright crying out there when somebody uses your video to restore his generator hub in order to not buy a new one
Actually, you don't need to desolder the wire, the cone on that side can be unscrewed enough to get the ball bearings out, clean the cup and repack the bearings. Thanks for the video anyway, helped a lot!
It's a pity I haven' t seen your video before. I did all the cleaning to my shimano, it looked much more worse than yours. I changed the steel balls. I assembled but it doesn't work as smoothly as it should...I think I f... something. By the way very nice, helpful and instructive film. Thank you!
