I have created a dress making tutorial on how to shorten the Ora Pinafore dress. You can also use this method to shorten other dresses.
I used small scale pattern pieces to demonstrate the steps to change on your pattern. The first method is used to shorten the dress length by up to 10cm. If you are wanting to shorten the dress length more than 10cm than I would recommend also completing the second shortening method. This will keep the dress more proportioned as you take off more length. Using this tutorial to shorten your dress pattern will keep the hem of the dress even.
