In iOS 13, you can block calls from unrecognized numbers-callers who aren’t in your Contacts, Calendar, Mail, Messages, or other apps. They’ll go straight to voicemail and appear in your missed calls list.

Quite a few people are looking to silence calls that come in as ‘NO CALLER ID’ which is not the same as an incoming call WITH a number you do not recognize and/or is not saved on your contact list.

how do i attend a call when i see a call being silenced? What if it's the pizza delivery? I turn on and off this everytime I order something. This is really frustrating.

This surprisingly worked. The spam calls were out of control, I was getting around 10 a day, then I learned how to silence unknown callers and the spam calls stopped after a few days.

In this case what is the difference between "do not disturb" where you can allow calls from your phone contacts, and this "incredible new feature" from ios13. More or less it's the same thing. What we really need is to block "no caller ID" or "Unknown CALLERS" not unknown NUMBERS.

I was hoping to get a function to reject anonymous callers... instead you brought a function to send unknown callers to my mailbox and show them in my callers list... what should be the benefit of this function?

Not that useful as sometimes you need to answer calls from new numbers. What would be useful IMO is the ability to block or ignore ‘private’ numbers, i.e.those with no call ID. I cannot understand why iPhones don’t let you do this.

And imagine all the calls we will miss from people we don’t have in our contacts but want to hear from…..like Amazon delivery drivers (who’s phone numbers I don’t know) who call me because they can’t figure out my intercom system in my building….,etc, etc. I’m speaking from experience…😊

this is not something new, in 1996 (24 years ago) ericsson 337 had this option. and that one was working fine, not with issues like apple.

Yes and no. It may filter some legit calls. An improvement to this will be if Apple will allow country-level call blocking.

When you have Silence Unknown Callers turned on, incoming calls will come through from people that are saved in your contacts list, recent calls list, and from Siri Suggestions to let you know who’s calling based on phone numbers included in your emails or text messages. We assure you we'll help answer this question. iOS can block/silence incoming calls but it does not have a way to stop someone from leaving a voicemail. As voicemail is a feature offered by your wireless carrier, it may be worth checking with them. This doesnt work... Now Its blocked all the calls (sometimes), and when I tried to turn it off, it is still on.. I turned this on to try.. and when i turned back off.. i m not receiving most of the phone calls, when my friend calls me sometimes goes to voice mail, sometimes ring.. unknown calls goes to voice mail but its not even on.. 80% of friend calls goes to voice mail and its not even on.... and i cant turn this shit off.

Apple, Can you please fix the Bluetooth issues, since i updated to ios 13 on my xs max Bluetooth keeps disconnecting, really annoying. I bought a 1400€ iphone pro 11 max and i can’t use Bluetooth in both of my cars, even on 13.1.1. Keep me posted, or i’m gone sale my 11 pro max and go back to android. Thanks

Unfortunately I could not buy the iPhone 8 Plus because of our financial situation and I have a phone that is not an iPhone. Its price is about $ 60. It does not work efficiently ..
