As an Oklahoman, I so agree with you on everything. Take time and slow down .Our families need us to be present in their lives. Have a beautiful summer!
Happy Summer, Fritz fam! I just love your videos- you make everything so accessible/attainable for everyone. Also there’s a grace that’s on you that you impart every time you hit record. Thanks for shining your light, Amy! ❤
Was just reading through some of the comments before i watch. Just want to say WOW Amy...you have inspired so many people today. Everyone seems so receptive of your message and happy to be here with you. I just thought it was so neat to see all the happy comments. Now im going to watch!
Amy, Your message was exactly what I needed to hear today. I've been feeling very overwhelmed by all that needed to be done in my home to get things organized, cleaned and decorated. I found myself flitting from one thing to another, completing nothing. Your tips today made sense to me and I look forward to getting started in the morning. I have always loved your homemaking style, mixing vintage with new and bringing pieces from outdoors inside to make a warm and cozy home. You always seem to know how much is enough without overdoing. Know that you are loved and appreciated.
Great advice about simplying meals. Veggies and protein are most important. I used to feel like I had to make a starch every time but so not necessary.
Hi Amy... Thank-you so much for your beautiful content. It speaks right to my heart. I love that you provide simple ways to achieve peace and calm without spending huge amounts of money and using what you have in front of you. It's so refreshing and encouraging! I'm a teacher in Canada who is about to be on summer break. I look forward to putting some of these suggestions into practice with my two boys and husband very soon. Thanks for the continual encouragement and realness.
Once major decluttering, functional organizing and deep cleaning is in place, daily decluttering and cleaning takes no time to complete. This allows more time with your family and relaxing. I so very much agree with seasonal decor, don’t stress about having the “perfect” seasonally decorated home, some fresh flowers, open windows and soft music playing is just as inviting and relaxing than having whatever trend is happening in seasonal decor; this goes for the cold months also, a wreath on the front door, seasonal flowers/greens, a few throw blankets in fall/winter colors, a few changes in candle colors or a few decor items acknowledges the season. I use to be the every season had 5-10 totes of decor and my house would have every item in those bins on every surface and wall- it was exhausting even while it was pretty (pretty in your face), so I now just have 3 totes, 2 are a combination Fall/Winter/Christmas (majority is tree ornaments because I love a fully decorated tree), the 3rd bin has Valentines, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day and 4th of July decor. The KISS acronym is the name of the game for seasonal decor (except Christmas). Meal planning is the foundation of our daily life, no stressing on what to make. Garden salads are the staple of lunch and dinners, along with seasonal fruits and any meat will go with those, not to say we don’t mix it up a bit. Fresh flowers and greenery are probably the best seasonal decor anyone can do, I have allergies, so certain flowers are not in my house but outside, but I have a lot of green plants that I do move around. Clothing is an easy all year capsule wardrobe, where t-shirts are the staple and easiest to layer and as you said, a few dressier items for each season- I know my lifestyle and city chic is not it, rural/country “chic” is how and where we live, so I don’t strive to have clothes that don’t fit in with my lifestyle (I also have a capsule work wardrobe), everything is mix and match. We are outside doing yard work between 6-8am while it’s still clean smelling and cool then it’s in the house to do my inside chores and then a refreshing shower and lots of time to enjoy my family and just relax during the hottest time of the day. Amy, you are spot on!
Hi Amy, Thank You So Much for being Such a Bright Light. I Truly Love your Sweet, Encouraging, and Very Inspiring videos. Sweetheart, You are Always So Inspiring, and I Truly Appreciate You beyond words. Amy, I Love the ideas that you shared, and I do plan on incorporating many of your Wonderful ideas into our home. Thank You for sharing the information about the Cricut Maker. I have been wanting a Cricut Maker for quite some time now, but I thought that it looked way too complicated. However, after you shared your opinion (that I value & trust) concerning your Cricut Maker, along with your encouragement...I am thinking that I am ready to "go for it" & purchase one myself. 😊 Thank You again Amy for sharing, encouraging, inspiring, and for being So Sweet. 😊 Love In Christ, Paula
I loved this video Amy. My kids are grown and gone (for a long time) but these tips a great for everyone ❤ You are a very lovely person and I enjoy your decorating style. I’ve been a subscriber for a long time and you’ve been one of my favorites.
I love this video. I moved to my beach house in Maryland almost two years ago. This is my happy place but somehow I lost my way and forgot how to enjoy being here. I will be recreating my happiness here thanks to you. Especially sitting on my porch each morning and thanking God for my spectacular life. I will be 70 soon and your video put me back in the direction to where I need to be. Thank you so much for this one and all the others. 😅
I so enjoy your calming nature. I love to put your videos on when I'm feeling stressed. You have a way of resetting me, lol.Thank you for that. Enjoy a wonderful, safe and adventure filled Summer with your beautiful family! ❤️
I don’t comment often but wanted to first say that these are some great ideas. And also how amazing you are looking. Beyond the weight loss, you are just radiant!
Hi Amy, I been watching your older videos from 3 years ago! I love your Georgian vintage home with the jack n Jill bathroom!! It was so pretty the home itself. Do you ever sell any of your decor online ? Will you ever have your mom on your show ? That would be nice as she is a huge part of your decor style. I love your sweet and loving personality! Your videos are relaxing and calming. Your hubby is so sweet to let you buy whatever you love for your homes. Have a blessed week! ❤
I love summertime, no matter how hot. There is more to do, like flowers. You did an outstanding job with the flowers. I have a lot of flowers and love watering them also.
Amy, you are always such a wonderful inspiration! I love your ideas on slowing down this time of year. Hope you & your family are enjoying your summer so far! ☀️
Great tips and such peacefulness about you too. Love your bright, fresh looking and beautiful spaces. Indoors, outdoors and you yourself. Great encourager. 🌹❤
Simplify is my word for the year.... Would love to hear more home, decor and seasonal life tips! Great tip on the flowers and greens... Will do that tomorrow!
Amy, loved this video! There should be more channels like yours on here. We ❤ summer time even though as farmers, it's busy but we enjoy it so much!!! It's wonderful to be outside everyday and enjoy God's beauty and family. Have an enjoyable weekend. Oh, love your summer board!
Amy, your videos just keep getting better and better. Or, maybe that's because our hearts are so similar. I love the Cricut projects.....I don't use mine near enough. And the 15 minute declutter every morning is wonderful advice. Great video and content. xoxTX
Thanks Amy! This video has been a blessing to me today. Also, you look so healthy and vibrant. I think in your help with my weight loss. Would love to get more ideas of how you’re doing that and how it’s going for you since your last about about it. Thanks again so much for sharing such wonderful and helpful information on the homemaking topic. ❤
Amy, this video is so good! You are such a pleasant young lady. I have followed you for a very long time and just adore you. Hope you, Caleb, and the kids have a fantastic Summer!
I really enjoyed this video...I am trying to keep things simple and uncluttered in my home. I enjoy watching how others organize their homes and lives. Your flowers are so pretty and are doing so well! Can you share an update on your flower garden?
Its nice you gave so many suggestions for enjoying the summer. I know there are things I want to do but I think putting down on paper you have a goal. Thanks
Love all the suggestions, but in Texas early morning and sunset, the heat index has been 102 degrees. Just mowing is taxing this time of year. You are blessed to live in a nicer weather.
