Really interesting Mike. Sounded great but just so cool to show the different parts and the subtleties that that make the separate lines work so well together. Such great harmonies in that song. However, I like the harmonies in your originals so much as well. You’ve got a great ear.
Hey Randy....ha.....yeah I caught that mistake before I did the top 2.....I figured it would sort of mask it....HA....I roll these out fast....keeps it fun! Glad you enjoyed.....
The key is to learn your part as if it is the only song...and kind of keep your mind a bit off of the main melody. Or concentrate on how your part supports the main melody...it is fun and easy to do with practice. It helps to have a guitar or piano with you to trigger the first note or difficult notes in the line. I use to hit a quick A note when singing a difficult middle part in Little Help From My Friends Beatles live. Hope this helps
Hey Rick, this was a blast....kind of putting feelers out....I could do lots of these types of videos...Harmonies are magic....the low part in this song is super special! Thanks for the feedback
Hey Wacky...i'm not very proficient in tab....I think I learned lead riffs somewhere on YT....kind of standard bluesy pentatonic stuff. Try a few searches....
I read that....nice simple progression...works so well....ZEN, the best music is made / written without much mind on the matter....quick and in the moment. 🙏
@@ThisMichaelBrown I found it. I appreciate the help! I usually get these things by ear but for some odd reason I couldn't seem to grab that note.......it fits so beautifully doesn't it?
@@shanemarcotte2062 oh yes a B note and 4th fret with capo...glad to help....F#sus....perfect ending chord....a sus takes you to that limbo between major and minor...good stuff!
This was very helpful, thank you!!! By time stamps do you mean time code? With pro-level camera? I have attempted to record multiple video takes of a recording session using iPhones and consumer cameras... with no luck. Thanks again.
Hey Paul, yeah man "times" where the parts start, blue numbers in description....this is a pretty old Cannon M50 very moderate camera, less expensive than most phones...haaa....I think the folks in the know are suggesting other things in that price range now....also they say better lighting is often the key and can be very cheap, just keep diffuse and avoid shadows best you can for green screens. Glad the video was helpful....may do more of these
Yes, a Beatles etc...production trick....thickens things up....I do it so often I sort of forget....this vid was to show the pitches to folks who want to sing.
This is so helpful...thanks for doing this video. I want to cover this song and was finding the low harmony line a little hard to pick out. Now I hear it clearly :)
Thanks for suggesting this one as well to hear more harmonies. I've always enjoy songs with harmonies like these. Just wish I could remember one way and sing with other parts. Guess one has to just keep practicingThank you for your examples!
It is a learned skill for sure...you have to concentrate on the one you are doing while ignoring the other melodies...just takes practice...maybe start with the middle part in this one,,,,..the bottom and top are a bit tricky...my brother Jim taught me to do harmonies on Two of Us by The Beatles...FUN STUFF
Great work! Learning this song and wouldn't know where to start with your version. But I might be able to work out the lead now cos you play it so nicely and repeat it four times. Thanks heaps, cos that is the coolest part of this song.
