Once we have completed the takeoff process and we are sure that we are indeed flying, we can sit in the harness. We should never sit down during the takeoff process. Sitting down prematurely is a very common error in beginners and is the main cause of launch failures. In the first flights it is the instructor who will indicate to the student the opportune moment to sit down. Before that, the student must continue running or stay upright if he has already separated from the ground.
To sit one must first lean back, then raise the knees with the force of the abdomen and finally move the body to slide into the harness and thus achieve a proper posture. Throughout this process, the student should avoid pulling the brakes, since if we lean on them or balance on them to sit down we could brake too much and enter a stall.
