I wear a size 13 that still fits, I tried some size 13 gloves at the store that fit kinda tight and my fingers stick out of the finger tips in some gloves, i measured my hand and it lands close to the 7, which is the 14 size, then I tried some size 14 gloves, for the traditional fit, they feel to big, and with the tighter fit, they feel good. Should i get a size 14?
Gloves will actually get looser as they break in over time so the 13" gloves you tried on should fit ok once they are broken in. If the traditional fitting glove you tried on feels too big, they will only feel bigger once they are broken in. I say go with 13"! Brandon at IW Hockey
This sounds like you've been shooting a lot perhaps? I would recommend going with a grip end like a Lizard Skin or Tacki Mac to help with the top hand. I'm not sure what gloves you're using too, but investing in a glove that has extra palm reinforcement would also help. There are some gloves with embossed grip and some with a high-end reinforcement that would help alleviate blisters. Nash palms are pro-preffered and AX Suede is another fantastic palm. Hello, when I take my measurement between the base of my palm and the top of my middle finger I arrive at the following measurement: 7,3. Should I take 14 inches or 15? My fingers are pretty slender. Thanks And I want to equip myself with CCM equipment, for fine fingers and a perfect beginner, what style of CCM glove would you recommend? Thanks again
I really prefer a contoured/anatomical glove because I like to feel the glove against my hand, I don't like a lot of negative space inside. The Bauer Supreme 2S Pro Glove is currently my favorite! Brandon IW Hockey
I got the Warrior DX5 traditional fit in size 13, my hand measured 6.5, so I am confused because I am 13 years old and you are an adult and I had the 13 inch size. did I get the right glove size?
The 4r2 is a traditional style fit so they naturally have more volume than contoured or tapered fitting gloves. How are your finger tips at the end of the gussets? Is there still space at the end or are your fingers close or touching the end? If you have space at the end of the finger gussets you can go down to a 12". Brandon at IW Hockey
Just got 14” ft4 gloves because the 13” my fingers were sticking out the gusset. But when I put them on with my elbows the cuff touches my elbow pads…what’s a guy to do
It's ok if the cuff touches your elbows slightly, but you don't want them overlapping too much. If that's the case, maybe you need to size down in your elbow pads? Brandon at IW Hockey
Are your fingertips far away from the end of the gussets? Anything farther than 1/4" from the end of the gussets are too big and you should size down to 12". Brandon at IW Hockey
