you should pva primer it to make sure the dust layer is covered completely

Your mud I'd a little to thick, get a 14 inch wide or wider knife,makes it a little quicker.

Use a rubber spaghetti roller attached to a pole extender, and a 3 ft skimming blade with a pole.

Anytime it's popcorn ceilings use a mask and eye protection and use platicar to stop any dust from leaving the room most popcorn ceilings have asbestos in them.

Did you test for asbestos???

I didn’t know you could use a roller, so I just did my ceiling by hand all by myself 🤦🏻‍♀️ It’s far from pretty, but I figured I can sand it smooth. 😅

I thought your ceiling had cracks, but it was my screen on my phone 😂😂😂

Thin your mud way down next time... thats way too thick.

FYI, you can "sand" the drywall mud with a damp sponge. It's much cleaner than sanding.

Rent a hopper and shoot it up wait 30 mins and use trowel to knock it down. So much easier then this.

Next time you mix it add a little bit of Dawn dish soap. It’s an old trick that makes mud slide when you are using the knife. Good luck!
