I love you for making this video! And you're so cheerful which really helped at a very difficult time where I was watching in the hospital in the middle of the night. Thank you!
@@marikhadlin3835 lmao I’m good now but it’s an easy but uncomfortable healing process like every broken bone just relax and use ice and pain meds after the first week it won’t hurt anymore … and also sleep with ice if it really hurts or if it’s just an little fracture
Very helpful thank you so much... Hope everyone can find a comfortable position to sleep in, I have a broken wrist and it's been very uncomfortable and painful to sleep. I always slept on my side but I also have broken ribs. God bless all I hope everyone have a speedy recovery. 💙
getting my 3rd surgery (technically 2nd, have to get metalware in then out so 3rd time really) in a week on my elbow and couldn’t sleep so this is helpful for my next surgery 😂
I'm 13 aswell. I broke my elbow on Monday and found out on Tuesday after being sent home from school and today's Sunday. How was your recovery?? I'm nervous... does it hurt?? Its my dominant hand aswell and I have tests after tests aswell as a moaning pe teacher 😂
@@write-4-ever Hlo lilley Sad to know you to got a fracture now I am absolutely fine I got a plaster and after wearing a plaster it feels fine but the most scary part is when they cut the plaster and also when we wear the plaster there is almost no pain but after the plaster is removed we can or not experience the pain I think it depends on the fracture, in my case i got a major fracture.... Wish you a speedy recovery 👍 Don't be nervous it will be fine soon👍🙂
@@srishtiaggarwal6926 thanks I'm glad you're better now 😀 Mine is just a minor fracture but it's affected my grip on my dominant hand so I can't write and stuff but one of my English teachers said he would help so I'm not as worried about that now more just the pain.
@@write-4-ever Oh that's good to know the pain will go away with time and you will soon regain your grip I too lost my grip but regained it in 20-25 dqys hope you take the medicines and painkillers at time this is nothing too fear of just stay strong and eat calcium rich foods.. Get well soon🙂👍
Thank you for all your videos! Finding comfort while feeling so much discomfort has been hard as I recover from breaking my wrist and wrist surgery. Your videos are so helpful!
Oh, I wished I found your vids when I was in the splint fir my broken wrist! I have two more weeks in a plaster cast and have ben doing the hand and arm exercises, my fingers are no longer so swollen and my arm feels so much better! Thanks for all your help.
I absoluelty love this! I had distal radius fracture surgery about a month ago. I have a fracture blister, which is still healing, as well as limited range of motion dues to swelling and stiffness in the wrist. With all of this, sleeping is definitely a challenge. I cannot wait to try your sleep hacks and watch your other videos. I am in physical therapy but the pain is unbelievable when she stretches and manipulates my wrist and fingers. This is great! I've reposted.
This helped me very very much because I broke 2 bones in my arm the one that would help my fingers move so thank you so much I love this video and I'm just a kid❤❤❤
I got distal radius fracture 16 days ago and 14 days ago i had surgery with k-wires fixation. I have had sleepless nights since first day of fracture but this video is helping , actually not fully but atleast i am able to sleep a bit more.
I watched this on the second day of my injury and I thought that she has no idea what it feels like to have a broken bone because the idea of trying any of the other positions was out of the question. Fast forward four weeks later, I can say that it’s possible to at least have three variations of sleeping positions. Stay patient and don’t be afraid to move a little bit beyond the memory of pain.
@@javagirlpc I’m 8 weeks in and I’m just starting to be able to sleep on my side if I have a pillow under my arm, but it’s still a bit uncomfortable. Hope you heal quickly, take plenty of pain relief if you need it :)
I’m a 70 yr old ,I fell and broke my humerus and detached it from my shoulder. I’ve been sleeping in my recliner for 3 weeks now. My surgeon recommends no cast and just a sling and let gravity do the healing. I’m in so much pain and terrified of using opioid’s. Prayers for all.
@@javagirlpc same I dont know y tho. How was your recovery?? I broke my arm on Monday but found out on Tuesday after being sent home from school and it's Sunday. But I'm scared for recovery since its my dominant hand.
@@write-4-ever just follow the doctors advice. I’m just now able to sleep on my side. Make sure to follow-up with physical therapy, so you don’t get a frozen shoulder!
Im a 13 year old 5k at just broke my arm a day ago and I had to get a surgery and it’s swelling a lot 😭 I’m getting used to being handicapped 😭😭 also I got my period today so that isn’t helping
I made a surgery few months ago i did the last position, because im a belly sleeper. But i had arm a little higher tucked then my head and it was pretty comfortable 🙂 i had a cast on my right arm from shoulder to wrist.
All of them are comfortable but but when I was unconscious during my sleep but my body just Twisted out of the comfortable position so I woke up uncomfortable
If you're shoulders are in knots, because of how the surgeon manipulated you during surgery, this is impossible! Are your arms really broken, because whose moving all those pillows and adjusting them through the night 😂. Thanks for the linked videos on mobility!!! Aches from stiffness in the middle of the night is like slowly walking the plank ... drowning in sleep deprivation
Thank you so much but I really need to know how to put a jacket on with a cast for your elbow because I recently broke my elbow and one of the bones is just not in its position it’s that round bone if you know what I mean and I can’t put on my jacket😭😭
Feeling immense pain in the shoulder after waking up and later this night I can't even move an inch due to the pain. The plaster done on me is long arm cast.and for that i bought a pouch arm sling (tropical)a, which is a bit smaller for me and adjusted it myself .i dont know whether that too contributed to my shoulder pain.
Thank you so much!! I have been sleeping on the couch for 5 weeks since surgery for a broken proximal humerus. You really know what I am going through. I am a side sleeper but am afraid it will be too painful for my shoulder so I have been. sleeping on my back and now I have back pain. I will try out the positions and maybe I can find one that works. Why doesn't the therapist go over this, is not rest a crucial part of recovery?
Sorry can someone please let me know as soon as possible what can I do my baby got his casket yesterday and his han and finger look very sowllen what can I do ???
Hello dr Michelle, i am from India. Last month i punched on the Poll and have 5th metacarpal fracture which end with single intrmedullary K wire surgery. A week ago doctor remove k wire from my finger. Which exercise will be useful for fast healing of my fracture.
Where or how can I get the removable cast like that have bad elbows and I'm always sleep on them wrong and wake up in a lot of pain. So is there a way to get removable casts like that ??
A certified hand therapist can make one for you. These are called functional casts. Unfortunately not all therapists know how to make these so always call and ask first.
Next time I make a video of how to break your arm so I can get cast I just don't mind getting you through the pain I just want to cast it so somebody could sign it and I could have kind of look cool
These positions work best for people who can sleep alone and are not restless sleepers . If you are a restless sleeper who changes positions often, imo you're better off sleeping on a lazy boy recliner with one or two pillows then oi a bed with many more .
Everybody here knows what they're doing. I just dislocated my elbow backwoods like a pack of backwoods 🎉i don't know what the fuck I'm doing 😂 plus it's very hard to type with one hand, took me a minute
