I rarely work with wire this small, but I've been using this trick to twist the wire passively (I've found it helps me slide the cut insulation off also) for a few years now, fortunately I don't need the solder steps because I'm pretty bad at soldering

Nice, I have been tinkering with these small gauge wires on LED signs and had the same issue. Large fingers, super thin gauge wire and trying to twist wires together for soldering. Awesome idea!

doing this for years for all wires lol i twist so tight with fingers they break lol. but the cutting shenanigans and subsequent cleanup .. what are those things called these probably will stand and save me from tetanus and my clumsy blade wielding fingers
