Great soloing lesson. Thanks Steve! I want to start playing jazz and soloing more again. I have been focused on pop songwriting which is very rewarding, but my ear has suffered because I haven't kept up. I think I'll start with this tune and your lesson. Do you think it would be good use of practice time to take real book songs, figure out scales and modes associated with the chords, and practice soloing, or is there another way that might be better?
