I love this, I lost a really well paying job earlier on this year and l totally downsized my entire like to the point where the total amount of my bills is now ridiculously low it's almost unbelievable... I then got a really good job a lil later and l have kept my expenses the same, my word the amount of money that I end up having as disposable income is also unbelievable🙌🙌🙌 l thank God for teaching me to spend money well, get rid of spending on things that don't make sense. I am actually still learning to be consistent but I have to say, it gives you peace to just have money saved up... Also tithing helps a lot, God protects my income and gives me more wisdom since l give to his cause(this is not really an obligation but it's a kingdom principle that I'm tapping into to reap the benefits God said would come with giving to his church, don't take it as an imposition, you don't have to tithe however you don't benefit from it if you don't, simple) I love the point on rewarding myself with monetary items, mmm still need to work on that one😁
Great advice. I’m a certified shoe lover and I’m trying to get the concept of spending less again. I did it for a few years, then after experiencing overflow, I went crazy shopping again…..like three and four pairs of shoes at a time. When I ran out of closet space I knew I had a legit problem….plus after college as a new RN, in the first three years of my career I found that I would blow $500-800 monthly😱😱😱😱😱😱😱. I had no discipline but I’m getting back to minimalism.
I needed to hear this because I shop way toooo much! I have 2 online Boutiques and the more I make the more I spend. I really have to break this habit. Thanks for sharing.

Great video Corey!!! It`s all about what`s needed ( Basic necessity ) vs what`s wanted ( Stuff you really can live without ). Investing in YOURSELF is the key and saving for your long-range goals is more important than instant gratification buying something you don`t need. No one plans to fail; they just fail to plan.

A tip that is helpful is choose a week any week and write down what you spend . Everything from gum to gas and everything in between you be surprised where your money is going / also pay with cash if you sometimes spend recklessly because card purchases can something lead yo spending more because you physically don’t see the money spent and taking away -

This was a really good video Corey. I have a zero-based budget. I have a binder with cash envelopes. I budget every dollar. You have to tell your money where to go.
So I started my minimalist journey a year ago and really want to focus on spending less. I am not struggling on buy things for myself but I now buy even more for others. I get to fulfill that shopping urge and stop some guilt because I'm doing it for others. I need to take a step back and figure out how to move forward.
I can see how that can be a problem. But honestly, that’s an easy cut off. Scale back a bit, nothing wrong with buying things for others but if you do it a lot or it’s pricey items .. that’s when it becomes more of a problem
People think you must spend a lot to go on a proper date. It’s so unnecessary. You can go for a beautiful walk, bring coffee or fruit. Guys…. A woman will be just as stoked to have a handful of wildflowers, or go for a walk and cook her dinner at home. I’d love for a man to make me dinner. You don’t need to spend a lot of money to make a woman feel valued. So much of it is just how you treat her. We know the difference.
WOW we didnt grow up spending.My kids didn't either.I still wear my shoes and clothes till there are holes, for the past 30 years I have made my purses, cut my family's hair, I worked all day too so we crocked pot it, bought the cheapest house I could find when I was 25yrs old bought it, took us years to fix it been here 36 yrs -Moving costs $,Only eat out on birthdays,Made blouses, kids pj's. Save lots of $ making your own. I need an end stand, I make it use the trees in the yard.Consumerism is not great on the pocket book.Now we are old and say what are we saving it for, so we help our kids.its fun
