Thanks for this. I bought one of eBay on the weekend. Came today. I had my suspicions - poor quality, bad punctuation on box…etc - you have confirmed I am right. I’ve opened a case on eBay for a full refund.
Minute 0:14 that's not true. I have an original Dyson and the QR code paper is separate from the plastic black cover. I think it depends from region to region.
The only way to know is with the serial numbers. I purchased one on eBay and got the serial number from the seller to check it with Dyson. They told me it’s a counterfeit the serial number registered as an outdated and discontinued product. They are using this same serial number on all fakes. I claimed my money immediately.
As mentioned in the video, serial number is not the way to identify counterfeit as it will not work all time, the one shown in this video can actually be correctly registered on official dyson website with warranty displayed. They might cloned the SN or replaced it with the real one and sell the real one later for cheaper price.
On the left is made in malaysia factory. They one on right is made in China. Both is authentic.. Made in China marketed to European and to the west pricing also slightly higher. While made in malaysia to the other part of the world.
