I think I get the point about how this is narcissistic but also should note that there are people who have learned to behave like this because someone else was using/exploiting them or someone who needed to improve a lot to live a decent life just never bothered to improve so this “narcissistic” person had to set rigid standards and rules in order to not be exploited and maybe help that other person learn how to respect and pick up good habits and discipline. That other person- examples being an adult who isn’t contributing to family or decided just to coast through life using others for every single thing, or even an extremely egoistic person who is the actual narcissist

I'm in this space now - I feel like I need to set boundaries and be rigid about them because the other person continues to disrespect me, take me for granted, and do what he wants and when he wants it and gets mean and verbally abusive when he doesn't get his way. So, what she's saying is sounding like what I feel I need to do 😆
